This seems like a common price. Not a bad deal, but make sure you use pants and eye protection when using this thing if you don't know what you are doing. The guard is crazy small. It was my first weed wacker and it was beating me up until I got the hang of it. Now I know how to use it so that it doesn't attack me.

Brickseek doesn't show me any prices. It's just saying "clearance." What am I doing wrong? In the past, Brickseek has shown me prices...

I snagged one for $129 this week. It's a full sized powerful tool. The 5a battery alone is worth at least half the price.

I ordered this last summer but ended up cancelling the order. The guard was just way too small for me. If somebody's already invested in DeWalt ecosystem then it makes sense if you're going to upgrade the guard. I ended up deciding to have one ecosystem for diy tools (I went Milwaukee but would probably go DeWalt if I were to start again since Milwaukee is overkill for my diy) and one for lawn tools (ego which I'm convinced is the best combination of value and performance)

For what it's worth, the guard is super tiny and almost useless. I ended up taking an old license plate, put a little bend in it and screwed it into the plastic guard. Now it has a nice big guard that blocks everything(even the haters). I love to wear shorts while doing yard work and now my shoes and socks stay clean and my shins don't have a million weed darts stuck in them.

I don't know about common price. I think the brushed version of this was common at $99. They look very much alike.

The part about the guard is absolutely correct. I have to wear not only eye but leg protection (long pants) as the debris are flying directly towards the body. Powerful unit but pretty dangerous.

A lot of people take the guard off, the small guard helps the trimmer be useful at different angles.
