Can never remember which carrier is which any more. For those with bad memory like me. (had to look up)

How long can you hold on without activating?

This deal is from Best Buy. If you buy at the store from Best Buy, then unlike buying from Mint directly, then the 45-day expiration period does not apply.

Instead, each SIM has its own expiration date (i.e., it expires if not activated by that date), which is printed on the credit-sized card on which the SIM is held. As far as I can tell, that SIM-specific expiration date is not visible anywhere on the outside of the packaging.

I opened the packaging for a SIM that I bought. The expiration date was in April 2021.

Contrary to what some have said here, the SIM will expire. However, it is not subject to the 45-day period for SIMs shipped directly from Mint Mobile. Also, you may face the luck of the draw in terms of the specific expiration date for the package you buy.

I have heard it suggested that if you order from Best Buy and requested that it be shipped to you, it may be drop-shipped directly to you from Mint Mobile. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, then I can very well see those SIMs expiring if not activated within 45 days.

Just picked this up as a trial for my 12yr old daughter..... We are maxed out on out AT&T plan(10 accounts) and for $10/month for 3 months you can't go wrong as long at you get T-Mobile service. If it works out can buy 1year at $15/month with the 3gig plan (by the way Mint only slows down after you use the 3gig...doesn't stop you)

No. You couldn't buy it from BB together with a referral bonus.

Go buy the 12gb $45 version from mint website and with cash back and referral.

Mint is great. Been with them for 2 years. Their referral program is phenomenal. Refer 5 friends and get a year of free service. I now have 3 years free.

Their service sucks even in major cities, let alone the boonies. I get 1 bar, two if lucky.i get throttled to oblivion. I guess Mint custs have worst priority on America's Major Phone Network. Once my two months are over, I go the Verizon mvno way.

Can I buy 2 cards and use the 1st for 3 months and active the other one 3 months later? I would like to know if these expire of you don't act in X number of days per card. I don't care if I need to activate under a new number for the 2nd card and just need it for data.
