There are more than just flavorizer bars on clearance. Weber rib racks, grill grates, fish baskets, spices, rubs, seasonings, along with other non-Weber grilling items. Worth a look if you are out and about.

The original ones that came in my grill are 7 years old and look great with very minimal surface rust. They should last many more years. I use the grill much more than the average person and only clean the grill out about once a year. I don't understand why anyone would need to replace them after a year or two, especially since they perform the exact same function whether they have rust on them or not.
I'm not sure what your point is. Like many other people here, mine rusted completely through in 3 years. There were large holes through the metal. I'm glad it didn't happen to you, but the fact that a piece like this is failing this often for so many other people so quickly is unacceptable. Then they have the audacity to charge over $40 for replacements? That is pretty bad.

Thanks OP. I was going to buy stainless for my Silver C in the spring, but for this price I will run these for a few years.

I also adopted a roadside Spirit 2 burner recently. Brickseek said no inventory but I found bars for it digging into the shelves. Now I just need an igniter, a cleaning, and reseasoning the grates and I will have a nice flip ready for spring.

Man, I picked up the last set of 7534 yesterday for $22. I hope they price adjust.

Btw, the Weber 7539 were $12.74 in-store yesterday as well.

Purchased the final set of bars available for my Genesis silver B at my local store this morning. They will replace the $24.00 Chinese set that I bought on e-bay this past summer. A good suggestion about rotating these flavoring bars much like an automobiles tires earlier in this thread. Through the years Weber has been phenomenal in assisting with replacement parts. Big thumbs up to OP.

You'd be better off buying a stainless steel set off Amazon. The ones on clearance at Lowe's will last only 1-2 years if you use your grill 1/week or more...maybe less if you live up north in a place with cold/snow.

That was in response to someone who said you have to replace them every year or two due to surface rust. They last much longer than that because surface rust doesn't matter.

16 gauge stainless should last you well beyond 7 years. Weber warranties their 18 gauge for 5 years. Make sure you follow directions on cleaning them.

If you can get a hold of a couple then it would be a good deal. The life expectancy of these are usually a year or two before they rust over. If not, I recommend a stainless steel set from a particular seller on eBay that will last well over 5 years with abuse from nature
Amazon is good as well as far as SS bars
