Needs to be lower IMHO for renewed, but if you need them not a bad deal.

Agreed. They normally retail for $30 or $40 more than this. This one better damn be as fresh as a just-cut lemon to be this expensive and still be "renewed"

Renewed = someone else's problem or not quite up to snuff.... Picked these up new for less than this on the BF sale... Big brother is watching if you agree to the terms of their app... Not good.

Normally? No. I've been watching prices for these headphones for several months (I did end up buying a pair but never turned off my deal alert). A typical sale price is about $270-$280, new, from an authorized dealer. We've occasionally seen $240-$250 for a questionable deal. There's currently a Secondipity deal for them, refurbished, for $180 (results vary from "looks brand new" to "scratched and missing accessories"). But $230-$240 for new, normal retail? Never happened.

FYI these are absolutely terrible. I bought 2 from Amazon Renewed for myself and my gf and BOTH pairs randomly disconnect frequently. 7/10 times there is a ton of difficulty hearing on a phone calls and the shortcut key to turn on ambient on/off only randomly works sometimes.

And then there's the fit. Next to Airpods and Apple Earbuds, these are some of the WORST fitting earbuds ive ever used. You have to literally twist the earbud, hold it in place for 10 seconds, and slowly let go for it to stick. Why they can't design shit with a hook like Bose Truely wireless, or even the Galaxy Buds (which fit awesomely) I have no idea.

Stay away from these because they are simply garbage.

EDIT:. woops the above statement is for the earbud version. Disregard!
Why not delete this silly post instead of just adding a edit at the end of it?

Why do people say "never" unironically and state it as a fact. It also has "upvotes" ROFL.

no wonder our democracy is a mess --> these are the people voting. Bring back the 1776 voting limited voting rights.

Crutchfield isn't an authorized dealer and fake news despite Sony's authorized retailer page. $228 is also fake news according to the above poster -->

OK, maybe "never" was too strong a word, but the person I was responding to made it seem as if this was a normal occurrence. The deal you posted started in the middle of the night and expired around 8:30 AM EST. So I doubt many people were able to take advantage of it (I certainly wasn't). I suspect it was a pricing error; usually a merchant like Crutchfield wouldn't purposely post a deal like that late at night. I'm also pretty sure Crutchfield doesn't do flash deals.

I have the earbud version. Love them. Block out all my loud cubicle neighbors at work. Keep them in 9 hours a day and no issues. No other buds I've tried have come close with portability and active noise cancellation. Just have to find the right buds that fit. Even holds battery life a long time.

Agreed. $125 would be ideal. Otherwise, $150 at the most.

Good luck with that. Check eBay for used if that's all you're willing to pay.
