TCL all the way. I tried this when it was $100 more just to see how bad a 75" 4K TV panel could be. I'm pretty good at calibrating cheap TVs into looking acceptable, so I figured why not?

There's a reason why the price on these keep lowering. The TV menu is the same useless barebones Chinese one found on the old Changhong sets Newegg used to sell, with almost no useful picture adjustments. Lighting on panel is horribly uneven, and some images showed horizontal banding.

I've mounted some 4K 55" Sceptre TVs in a bar for a customer (their pick; not mine) and those didn't look nearly as terrible. The panel and menu lottery is a losing ticket on these, and the price keeps dropping to reflect that.

If I was to go 75", I would pay the extra $100 and get the R7 from best buy

Which Sceptre and which TCL? This is useless without context.

I got the 55 inch version as just bedroom TV for a few months. If you're balling on a budget, this is for you. Just understand these tvs are fragile and the picture quality isn't pretty.

I was thinking about this morning tv for a few days, I didn't buy it because of all the negative reviews. I need a 75 for my living room kids watch it mostly, once in a while I do too. I'm willing to spend up to $750. What would anyone hear recommend?

Not sure about the whole lottery thing but we picked up a 65" 4k Sceptre for the living room and it looks better than my 49" TCL. The menu does kind of suck I guess but I calibrated the picture a bit and I put up John Wick 3 in 4k and my stepdad was blown away. Haven't noticed any issues so far running 1080p and 4k Netflix and Plex content. Remember that dark scenes look like crap because of a combination of compression algorithms and color/contrast ratio/accuracy (whatever it's called). I can see the individual raindrops in John Wick on just a 20mbps stream, with our light on or off.

60hz panel ughhhhhh
So HD. Almost all content is currently displayed at 60hz regardless of what TV you buy. As much as I'm sure that this will change eventually, the leap forward isn't as significant as it was in moving from 24 to 60hz.

Is this the cheapest 75" on the market right now?

Amazing price. I bought this in Feb 18 on SD @ $1000 and I thought I had a great deal! This is a "no frills" TV that brings very decent picture quality. I can't believe it's back again at $600. If only I had known, right?

Tip: Walmart has always lowered the advertised price by another $50, each time they showcased this TV. They have a 30 day price guarantee, so if you buy one, keep an eye on the price. After they drop it, just connect with an online chat Rep and they will make the adjustment for you, right there.

I have had NO ISSUES with this purchase.
