Also @ Mtn View. I usually find Feit completely unreliable, but for $.50/bulb, I'll try it.

Every bulb in my house is Feit. I had a hand full go bad and they were replaced by Feit.

Same price in the central valley
There is a placard here that states it's a local/regional subsidy

When I bought a home for my wife last year every single bulb was replaced with Feit as well. not 1 has gone bad. When my tenant calls and tells me a bulb is out I replace it with Feit. I bought a ton at my local Costco last year all on clearance. Even at full price you can't go wrong.

2700k and 5000k refers to the color of the light produced by the bulb

2700k will be more of a "warm" light
5000k will be similar to daylight

ahhh, no. It's the temperature (color) of the bulb. 2700 kelvin is warm (towards red) light that you would use in a living space. 5000 kelvin is bright white (towards blue/white) that you would use in a task area (e.g. garage, utility room, etc.).
