I'm getting 64.50. Good deal otherwise.

The guard on this is terrible compared to my Craftsman trimmer. Ended up getting a face shield so I wouldn't get hit in the face.

Even if review average is 3.7, those are some damning negative reviews!

I got one of these months ago when they hit the front page. I like it, but my needs are simple; I have a small yard and I grab the loppers for anything that's a little heavier.

Honestly the only reason I got one was that I was tired of having to work on my husqvarna gas trimmer almost every time I used it.

If you're trying to clear some land, this is probably not a good choice for you. If you need it for occasional cleanup and upkeep, it might be a good option.

Don't listen to the reviews, I've had the same one for 4 years, and no problems with it or the battery. I run top of the line, heavy gauge line in it, and it doesn't put anymore stress on the motor than the cheap line. I've had gas weadeaters that can't do that.

In for 1 mostly for the 40v battery to our existing mower. We have the complete 80v set including trimmer already and it works great. At $51.60, it's a no brainer to add an extra battery for the 40v mower + backup trimmer for our 2 properties.

I'm guessing this would still be worth it at $64.50 (+$10 AmEx offer)?

I ordered one of these to pick up at my local store before I realized it has a fixed, non-replaceable head. Dumb design decision and a no-buy for me. Too bad Lowe's has yet to really figure out the online ordering thing, because trying to cancel a pickup order you've placed is a real PITA.

I had one of these and I really liked it for small trimming.Until someone stole it. But I still have the battery and charger.
