I see you can purchase a 4yr protection plan for $9.99 via Amazon. Would it make sense to get this refurb + 4yr plan for $70 vs $120 brand new?

In the process of building my first PC so curious what to look out for. Plan on running a Ryzen 5 2600 w/ RX 580

Get a good air cooler and you'll be fine. I had this one and the pump noise along with the fans drove me crazy. I like my PC's silent to the point I wonder if they're on. Be quiet and noctua are my go to brands.

Mine failed after 1.5 years. Clogged up.
I'm in the process of having it replaced under warranty.
In the meantime I've been using the stock 120mm AIO that originally came with my computer and realized it works great so I'll probably keep it in there and sell the replacement H100i V2.

I was excited when I saw the post, but then I saw renewed, then I checked the reviews on Newegg.. Really bad reviews with lots of failures. Not worth buying renewed

I had a Corsair AIO 240 that worked fine for 5y before I sold it. I paid probably around $120 for it. I replaced it with a Arctic Liquid Freezer AIO 240. It has a thicker radiator and 4 fans instead of 2 for a push pull design. You don't have to use all 4 if you don't have room or just don't want to. I don't see the 4 fan model anymore. I can't hear the fans running. It's quieter than Corsair even though Corsair wasn't loud either. The best part is that it's half the price. It's $80 brand new. It has been running for 3 years now.

I would definitely get a new one for $10 more. The pump does have a lifespan. So do the fans. I don't think you're getting a new pump and who knows how old it is. I also feel like Arcric was a better unit than Corsair. The radiator was thicker and felt it had more quality.

This is the current model.
