This is the gold standard of a good dash cam. Wish it was a dual cam version.

They used to be. Not so much anymore with all of the competition...

What do you all think about this vs. the Thinkware Q800Pro? I actually picked up the Aukey and the Rexing, but will be returning them as I'm now looking for a nicer cam, with better parking mode features. I can get a better deal on the Thinkware, and I can buy it from Best Buy (I have reward certificates there)

They still are. All the other competition copy them but none have gotten as good with all the features.

Like another poster said, I wish it had dual cams. One thing that never makes sense is why they ship with such a small SD card-dont bother. I keep going back and forth which cam to go for and lately I am leaning to the Viovo dual Pro 4K.

I was debating cams for months and just went with the Viofo A129 Pro 4k and so far in very pleased. It had 5V power, so I could use it with my old hardwire kit, which is what pushed me away from Blackvue. It was also only $179. Image quality is very impressive, it's still plenty small to hide behind my mirror and the software isn't bad. I used the WiFi feature to download to my phone, which syncs right to Google Drive.

I am thinking dash cam mainly for parking mode to catch vandals, and therefore rear cam seems like a must have. Price difference from 179 to 250 is a big jump though. I am glad you are pleased with yours and am also debating ad-don warranty like Squaretrade if and when I bite.

Viofo A119v3 is much better value and you can get 2 for the price of this one Blackvue. Just watch Youtube video comparisons. It has buffered parking mode and will record 20 secs of pre-incident footage. The only negative is it doesn't have wifi for some weird marketing reason. I have a 70mai Pro but thinking to add the Viofo A119v3 for either front or back. They both have the Sony IMX335 Starvis but Viofo has 7 glass and f1.6 instead of 6 and f1.8 in the 70mai Pro. Better video quality also due to Novatek 96670 CPU.

This is a great deal for prob the best dashcam on the market. Of course, there are many budget dashcams that are almost as good as well, but for quality and style and reliability, the dr-900s is the current best on the market. You want a dashcam to see license plates. The 16gb memory card just wont do though. With 4k, we need at least 32gb. However, great find IMO

I dont recommend the 750s, you can barely see license plates with it. Its a 1080p camera and I would have to say other budget dashcams does a wayy better job. I also have a Van True R2 cam ($110) and it does a way better job than the 750s. All Blackvue does look nicer with its stealthy tube structure though. The dr-900s is the best on the market for clarity and quality. Price is at a premium though

I have zero issues reading license plates with my 750.

I dont mean license plates directly in front of you. I meant moving license plates from the sides or opposite direction. Even when vehicle is in front of you but about 2 car lengths away is hard to see the license plate. My Van True at 1080p is still able to capture that, while the 750s at 1080p is quite blurry. Even Youtube reviewers say the same thing. The video is just not sharp enough. I mean, if you have no problems, thats great. Its just for me, a low end 1080p cam did a much better job on moving vehicle than my 750s.
