This has already been explained thoroughly by Wyze. E-mails, SSID, number of cameras, and, plus some healthy info like bone density for around 300 beta testers. No passwords of any kind were leaked. The only real risk you would be at is a phishing scam email that would look like wyze sent it. Always use 2 factor, be critical of any e-mail you get and analyze the website/certificates when entering sensitive information.

Yi and Wyze have nothing to do with each other from a cloud/software perspective nor firmware. They simply share hardware

Can someone explain how to use these to their fullest? I have two similar Yi ones from a few years back. I keep both pointed outside from the windows by my door, but the quality is so bad (especially at night and through a window) that they are basically just for deterrent. Any tips? The stock Yi app sucks too.

You can use Tinycam Pro with them. Turn off night vision if you are looking through glass. I had them and never used their app

Thank you- this is exactly what I was looking for. Might get a couple more of these and wire up the whole place (city life).

These cams are really good. 18 is a really good deal for a 1080p cam

Bring on the haters, but I have several of these cams, and I love them. Reliable, the app is fine, and disconnects on the app are the problem with wifi, not the cam. I monitor both my home and my business with these, and got another for spare.

Also, FYI, I use these "indoor" cams, outdoor, under a covered porch, with no problems for over a year.

Yes they work great outside! I have had 4 outside for 3 years and counting (2- 1080p home & 2- 720p Domes). Never had a problem with them at all. Reliable cameras in my opinion. Especially for $18.

Just pick a good quality micro SD card because my cheap ones kept failing so it was my fault.

I sold a bunch of these for $30 last year on OfferUp when I used to get alot of them for cheap to resell. (Not anymore)

If it's pointed through a window then you're probably not going to be able to see much at night regardless of whether the night vision option is enabled or not. With night vision on, all you see is the reflection. With night vision off, you're not going to see much besides darkness unless it's pretty bright out.
