I got one of these for my daughter. She needed to bring it for her class for a Christmas party. But the night before the party I ended up eating it. She was so upset, but please don't feel sorry for her. Feel sorry for me. I have munch housing syndrome.

Especially at this price, this is worth buying just for the pre-mixed royal icing, piping bags, and tips to use on your homemade cookies. Unlike cookies, icing isn't a lot better when you make it yourself, and it's a lot less messy than making your own, not to mention the $$ you save on egg whites, powdered sugar, piping bags, and tips. As a bonus, the candies they include go great with cookies as well.

As a bonus there's usually a lot left over even if you do decide to make the house. Or, do as I do and throw the premade cookies out with the rest of the cardboard packing material Stick Out Tongue

My wife read this and said "it's not called munch housing, what an idiot" 🙈

A couple of these kits (like the townhouse) are good for younger kids because the house is already assembled. I saw the pic of the house on the box but did not realize that it is already in the form of the house. All my kid had to do was decorated it.

You can eat it but you need to wrap it in plastic if you intend to eat it later. The problem is that the candies and gingerbread hardens from being left out like any normal food.
