This looks like an awesome deal. I just returned a similar laptop to costo which had i5 chip on it only because these flex-4 laptops are not equipped with brighter displays. If anyone owns this particular laptop, please suggest if the display is better on this one.

I bought this for work in late October at the same price. I used it only for initial setup, and the display was adequate. Don't recall it being too dull.

I have been looking at this the Dell Inspiron 14 for a few days:
https://www.costco.com/dell-inspi...89989.html
It seems the only difference in spec is 8GB memory vs 12GB of this one, but the Dell is $50 cheaper. How do they compare?

How much did you buy that one for? You get twice the RAM and storage, with the next level processor. I would say $100-150 worth, unless you have expansion possibilities you want to try on your own.

Build quality is better with Flex 14 compared to Inspiron, IMHO. Also, the Dell appears to be normal price at Costco at $499. IdeaPad would be a fair comparison with Inspiron.

Agree - Flex is definitely better quality than Inspiron.

Wow, i5 10th Gen is better than Ryzen 7 3rd Gen. I think the architecture they used for these 3rd gen Ryzen for mobile weren't the same as that of Desktop. Hopefully, next gen improves

It seems Flex is part of the IdeaPad according to Lenovo:

The Dell has Ram speed of 2666 MHz while the flex has 2400 MHz. Is that a big enough difference?

Not sure, appears marginal. https://www.quora.com/How-fast-is...z-DDR4-RAM
