Mint is great. It's a VMNO using T-Mobile. I'm on the 8gb plan and it works fine for me. It may not work for everybody. Use it like you normally use your phone and try it out.

I am on my 3rd week. Especially when we go camp, hunt or fish, which is away from city I still get a great reception with LTE coverage. The voice quality is fantastic and I also noticed when you call someone, first ring already rings their phone. When we were on at&t, after 2-3 rings make other phone ring. Also voice quality on prepaid AT&T was terrible as it was sd quality rather voLTE like on mint. Price is also just right! Never had to contact with customer service also. Tethering/hotspot just perfect with no data limit or additional charge as well. We're on 8gb package 👍

I think I'll punch in 12mo for $240 and call it a day. At least I will know it won't have to mess with any monthly payments or worry about price changes. $20 per month pretty good deal, isn't it?

If you're in the Bay Area, then steer clear of Mint for sure (and also of ANY of the TMobile MVNOs) because the reception is just PATHETIC. I fell for their B3G3 deal for $60 and am repenting it big time - my voice is not audible to others, calls drop randomly at 45m-1hr and data rates are never over 1Mbps DL and 0.3Mbps UL even with 4G-LTE, even with my latest, fully compatible new phone and its lot worse when inside apartments/bldgs. Spent hours and days with Cust Svc and they finally admitted that TMobile assigns them only 1 tower and even so limited BW in each such tower per cell, even when TMobile direct has 4-5 towers per cell and they cannot do anything about it.
Just save yourself the frustration and waste of effort, time and money and go with AT&T/VZW direct pre-paid or atleast TMo direct.

Can you port out of Mint using the trial number they give you? Anyone tried this yet?
