Decent deal on an entry-level set.

A few things to consider:

The string trimmer, sander, and multitool will quickly drain a 2 ah battery, making them essentially useless without a bigger battery.
Brushless tools are an excellent choice for contractors, but likely overkill for a weekend warrior or homeowner.

One option I point out to many new tool buyers is to get decent batteries first, at least 4 ah, then start building your kit. You can easily buy recon versions of these tools individually that you need from directtoolsoutlet, CPO Tools, or VIP Outlet for a fraction of what the tools cost in many of these bundle kits.
Some people will stick their noses up at buying recon, but if you are on budget and patient you can build quite the inventory with very little money.

The Lowe's Kobalt brushless kit is better in performance and better value for what you get.

Ryobi is known to be the value brand with a lot of tool selection (although a lot of redundancies). Their brushless stuff are great, but the tools in this kit are not their top of the line stuff but still more than enough for everything I or most people need them to do. Plus, Ryobi will be around longer than Kobalt, as a lot rumors are saying that they will eventually get phased out by Craftsman. Ryobi has used the same battery platform for many years. Their new lithium ion batteries has breath new life to my old blue Ryobi tools, and actually seemed more powerful too.

Ditto but those 2ah batteries are not enough for some high drain tools... like the 1/2 impact wrench.... still a good set just letting the ryobi newbies know 😇

I didn't see the 1/2 impact included in this kit.

It isn't ..... the assumption is that you will buy other Ryobi tools and the batteries included in this kit may not be sufficient to operate them. Should have made that more clear.

My question as well. Several coworkers told me not to get Kobalt if I plan for heavy use. Which I don't, but still worried.
