Yes, it is. If you are on the market for a great running GPS without extra features most people won't ever use, this is the is the one to get.

Seems Ok, but it is hardware that dates back to mid-2015. What is tempting about this vs. an Apple Watch which I do have, is that this watch supports Ant+ so if you're a runner then you an connect a foot pod for cadence. If you're a cyclist you can connect a similar pod for cadence, speed and power meters. I can do all this on my phone with the Wahoo fitness app but it's somewhat hazardous to risk my iPhone up front on my handle bars, and instead use a cheap watch using a handle bar mount.

It replicates the cyber Monday deal. It has been $169 since then.

Cycling features are minimal on this watch, might be able to get speed and cadence sensors, but definitely no power meter support

Fantastic watch for the price. Have used it for 2 years with no issues. Not too big. Did have to replace a small strap holder but that has been the only purchase since getting it.

I will reflect what has been said in this thread, this is the perfect watch for healthy running without all those fancy features you will use once and forget about.

Even if you don't use for working out, it is still a great everyday health watch.

Have this watch, love it, great for running (I've used a cadence meter while biking too).

What are the main advantages of this watch over the vivoactive 3 (the $116 one)?

This (235) has been there as a solid runners' choice but latest one 245 with Music is a lot worth paying more for great additional features/metrics that provides, currently selling for 299 on Amazon now. These watches works for decades so investing on latest and greatest in its segment is a good move IMHO. If you are a beginner this is good enough, I like it with Music that gives extra boost to go out for run w/o phone with you.
