TIL - Shoes have an expiration date?

But seriously though, not everyone has $150 to blow on a brand new 2019/2020 version of the shoe. They may not be compelled to do so unless they've tried the brand before. I have Hoka sneakers and love them, but prices for current year models are a hard sell even for someone who has had a few pair of these. This is a great find for someone who has wanted a pair and is on the fence because of cost.

I had knee problems until I switched to Hokas. I would highly recommend them to those who either have joint issues or plantar fascistic. It will extend your running longevity, not the most visually appealing shoes, but who cares? My friend is a doctor and he uses them in the operating room as he's on his feet for a long time. He says that after he started using them some years ago, many others that stand on hard operating room floors have asked him about them and have made the switch. This is a great opportunity to try them if your size is listed. They generally run a 1/2 size smaller than marked.

Love Hoka Clifton, but this version 4 has a high arch support that will be super uncomfortable for most people.

Some previous model shoes runs better than the latest model. I know some runners that will say the Brooks Ghost 10s run better than 11s and would scavenge the internet to buy old new stock.

These are for nuetral stride runners who want maximum cushion. If you are a serious runner some found these a little stiff compared to Hoka one and twos. The Hoka 6 are considered are return the closer resemble the one and twos.

As in no HDMI?

Seriously, so long as you are a casual runner, does running tech change that much in four years? I am a casual runner, as in a 3-5 miles, five days a week. I will appreciate any advise from more experienced people if this is indeed a good deal for casual runners like me.

If you are a serious runner, you will probably not worry about spending a few hundred to get the right shoes.

Yeah, the arch support is awfully aggressive. I don't wear them anymore because of it.
