Just say NO to bonded leather, it WILL peel.

It should be illegal to call this leather because it's cloth with a pressed on paper thin imitation leather FEELING coating that is guaranteed to peel off.

Will never have bonded leather again. When they start peeling it's a lost cause and you have to throw the whole thing away. I switched to a fabric chair and am much happier.

I had a Serta chair. Very comfortable. Bonded leather started to peel after having for a couple years. Not bad for the price.

Paid $170 for this chair and it has held up great. 6' 4" /340 and the chair holds me and feels solid and very comfortable. Had over a year now

I own the Serta hensley executive chair....looks very similar to this....super comfy but obnoxiously squeaky....idk how to fix it. I've pulled it apart and put graphite on the parts needed but it doesn't last a day or two

I keep hearing how bad bonded leather is but it seems like there aren't many alternatives on the market for a comfy chair. I hate those cheap vinyl/plastic ones.

I've had the Hensley for years. It peeled a little bit and squeaks here and there, but it's the most comfortable chair I've sat in. I've tried a bunch of other chairs including a Steelcase, but always come back to the Serta. I've been watching for it to on sale again so I can get a new one.

Same experience here, but in my case, I picked up a Herman Miller mesh chair on Craigslist.
