The description on Lowes site shows this being a laser projector.. Actually it is just a regular projector. Looks to be fairly decent, but not a lot of reviews. For this price I'll give it a shot for outdoor movie time, and holiday window projections.

From the video on Lowes site it looks to come with everything you need including window screen...

Manual and a couple pics attached.

Computer detects it as 1080p. Don't use 1080p lol Native Resolution seems to be around 640x480, or less. Of the available settings my computer gave, 1280x720 was "best".

Contrast is terrible, black and whites are completely blown out.

Color? Yes, technically it has color... So did my TV in the 80's.

1,800 lumens? Hahahahaha. No. I doubt it's even 800.

Built in audio vs tin can? Tin can wins.

That said, at the clearance price of $28, and an expectation of "what can I get for $28?" it's pretty amazing.

Looks pretty decent for window projections. I'm gonna go grab a couple.

I couldn't find very much info about specs.. The amazon listing shows 1080p on the box but I highly doubt that is it's native resolution.. Also saw 1800 lumens mentioned on lowes site

The projector can be blue-toothed to a external speaker....

It seems like it's one projector per window and 100$ seems steep for it. Outside projectors are better in my view as can cover a broader area.
Just my 2 cents

Hoping that someone who bought it when it was posted last week jumps on and speaks about the quality of it.

I bought two of these last weekend. The quality is decent. I wouldn't pull the trigger at its original price but for 27 bucks I plan on keeping them. Quality is decent when projecting vertically within 4 to 6 feet onto smaller windows. Plenty bright. However, projecting horizontally about 10 feet away onto my larger living room window didn't work so great. Not as bright but that's expected due to the distance. Comes with a USB preloaded with Halloween, Christmas and New Year effects. You can also add your own videos in mp4 format. Saw a video where someone used a cheap frosted shower curtain to project on to. The built in speaker is actually pretty good but since you are going to projector onto windows to view from outside your home, using Bluetooth to outside speakers will sell the effects much better.

The specs are complete BS. I'd be surprised if it had 800 lumens, or even 500. Contrast is horrible. Color quality sucks. Audio is terrible. Etc.

Buuut, for $28, dang, it's actually kind of amazing. You can hook it up to a PC or a Roku and it's..."usable" @ 720p. Text is readable if blurry in spots, and the projection is pretty dim...but it's usable.

I left it running for several hours and it never got much more than very warm. You could call it hot, but you could keep your hand on it. I'm guessing an LED bulb. It also survived getting dropped about two feet with no visible damage or problems.

I've added the manual and a couple pics to the Wiki, along with a DropBox link with some brief video clips.

I agree. At $100+ I'd not be interested. But at $28, it's a functional toy projector in addition to being a versatile holiday decoration.

The distance it'd need to be from my living room windows would have it in the way of things. So I decided to just keep one of the two I bought to use in the guest bedroom. My neighbor's snagging the other one from me.

This was our stores lil secret we all bought one. Work very well. I have my fire stick plugged into it. Only downfall is your going to need a speaker, the built in one is to low or something. But great picture for the price.

Good unit for the price. I wouldn't use this for anything but window decorations given the 480p resolution (480x800). Might be ok for a very dark kids room. I have a couple of these (same unit different brand) from amazon that I paid $50 each for. They're great for Halloween.

Would this projector be any different from this one [lowes.com]? I was able to pick it up for $17 (mostly free after Amex credits etc..) but was wondering if this one was more powerful? I do not need anything fancy, just wanted to see if it was more powerful than the Gemmy one. Thanks!
