good price but for those that want a truly great product use this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-To...B000EDDTV0

The permatex gasket can be hit or miss and imo gaskets are not something you want to mess with, you want to do it right the first time.

Exactly this. FIPG is the best and if you're doing work that requires RTV, why would you take a chance?

Is that the same as Hondabond? I use Hondabond on valve covers.

Btw, why do you even need that Permatex? Just buy the gasket, or if you buy a new pump/thermostat it will come with new gasket

Is this easy to remove later? What color does it dry? Is it paint safe? Just wondering about other use cases.

A little extra cheap insurance. Not all surfaces are perfectly smooth, the RTV does a nice job filling in the gaps more than a gasket alone.

Yes, hondabond is great stuff! I have a 2zz MR-S, I used toyota fipg. I go back and forth between the 2 depending on price.

2nd that. I bought a tube 15 YEARS ago. Used it on a valve cover and still works beautifully. Great stuff and long lasting.

I don't see free shipping even though I subscribed to it. Although I see the word eligible for free shipping. But the price before clicking place order showing charge $5.99 for shipping. So I didn't click on place order button.

Smear it on the fins for extra protection.

No. If your radiator is leaking, there are other fixes (such as JB Weld) but they require extra preparation and care in the repair. For most people, replacement is the best fix.
