Titan Quest for Nintendo Switch is $15.55 on Amazon

On Amazon [amazon.com] you can pick the game up for $15.55, the lowest it's ever been physically.

This is essentially a Diablo 1-2 clone, with a story by the individual who wrote the Braveheart movie. It's a mid-2000s PC game ported to the Switch and every other console. Has online co-op and split screen, no clue how active the community is.

The reviews on Amazon look somewhere between terrible and mediocre. Anyone have a fresh take on the game?

The PC version was a lot of fun, I have heard very mixed reviews on the console edition. I would recommend trying the much cheaper original PC release (it will run on a toaster), vs. this or any other console version.

Never tried the console, but the PC version as someone else echoed was a lot of fun. It pretty much plays exactly like Diablo which is great, but the whole story and mythology is centered around the Greeks. The game and its expansions on the computer have been as low as $5 for the gold edition at times cause its quiet old, there was an expansion done for it either last year or two years ago, which focused on the Norse mythology which I did not play. Also a brand new Atlantis expansion was just released in the last 6 months, so the devs are pretty active with it.

I have it on Xbox one X and have played it for about 10 hours, while it runs fine there, the game play feels antiquated by today's hack and slash standards. Just my opinion on a console edition because someone asked.

I've been around since the beginning of this game. Yep. Pretty much a diablo 2 clone centered around Greek mythology. I got it on switch since it was like $10. No crashes so far and I'm about ten hours in. The online community for this game is either dead or near dead. I'll confirm later today. Game does feel a bit antiquated as mentioned above. For the same price, the pc version is preferred unless switch portability is a factor.

Since this is a ongoing game since 2007..... Man that was awhile ago, I think you might find some hard core fans of this game online, just a guess. Also maybe the Atlantis expansion might have brought some people into it.

I was a die-hard fan when the game originally released on PC back in 2006. It was great back then, but does not hold up well in 2019/2020. Lots of bugs including game breaking/crashing, sluggish gameplay/lag, and this was on an Xbox One X. They decided to work on porting DLC instead of fixing bugs. I gave up on playing, haven't checked the forums/subreddit in almost a year.

I would pass on paying anything over $10 for this game.

I've heard a lot of horror stories on how buggy this is on Switch.

It is an older game, still fun, but definitely more PC-friendly.

If you like it, and similar games, check out "Grim Dawn" on steam which is the spiritual successor and a very good game. Still getting DLC and updates recently.

If you want this style of game is highly recommend getting torchlight 2 instead. It's a great game. What's even more crazy is playing that game on my n5000 $140 Acer with middle-high 1080 settings and getting 7+ hours of playtime on one charge.

$16 for a game that came out almost 14 years ago on PC. The switch probably as powerful as my gaming PC was back then too. what a bargain.

I played the PC version when it went gold for just a few dollars years after it came out and I was glad I didnt waste my money. I guess I just wore that genre out long ago after hosting our diablo box and exposing every last bug. Titan quest felt like the same exact thing and I just wasnt into it anymore.

I find it rather amusing that people keep porting these old clunkers and charging exorbitant amounts. The cash they make on it must be astounding. This one in particular is more than 300% more expensive than the pc version. It is a frequently a $5 bargain bin game.

Absolutely agree - I have avoided the Switch version for this reason, but have played the iPad port ... and honestly even that is not worth the bother (loads of issues and no controller support). Much better off getting the 'Anniversary Edition' on Steam/GoG for PC ... and as noted it will play on pretty much anything at this point!

The core game itself is fun and a little different from usual fantasy RPG hack & slash ... but not 'essential'.

Very much agree - I loved Torchlight II on PC back in 2012, but feel that the Switch version might be the best of all!

Totally agree. I picked up TL2 when it was on sale over the holidays for $12 and by far it is the best version of the game.
