This is a steal. Before you poop on the brand, keep in mind that all of these have the same design and specs - essentially a metal box with a squirrel cage motor and a small controller with a remote. Similar Jet and Powertec 1000 CFM* units are selling for $375 - $400. This deal also beats the all-time (411 day) low per CCC by ~$75. I ordered the Jet previously during Black Friday ($279.74 w/ coupon through CPO Outlets on eBay) and it arrived badly damaged due to Jet's poor packaging. You can see similar issues with the Jet on the Amazon reviews.

Features (from Amazon listing):
  • Circulate the air in a 1000 square foot room up to 7.5 times per hour
  • Three-speed operation flows air at a rate of 556, 702, or 1044 cubic feet per minute
  • Includes a 1-micron filter and a 5-micron pre-filter, both of which can be easily replaced
  • Programmable timer automatically shuts unit off after set number of minutes
  • Remote control allows users to set timer, change speed and power the unit on and off from up to 26 feet away

* note that all of the manufacturers rate these units without filters, so actual CFM will be lower

I have fully outfitted metal and wood shops with branding ranging from Jet, Powermatic, Lincoln and Miller to Grizzly, WEN etc.

The WEN aren't on par with the really high end equipment but they also are not even close to proportionally less quality/cost ratio. They're exceptional value for the money for anyone not using them at a production level.

No reason to be afraid of the Wen brand name, their products are usually a very good value.

The filters for these are somewhat pricey. $25 for inner and $20 for outer vs $10 and $10 for the smaller unit when buying 2 packs. (Prices per filter)

The smaller unit is moderately priced at $126.38 (300/350/400cfm).

Just throwing it out there incase someone is looking for a smaller unit for a smaller shop.

Lowest price on Amazon according to camel x3. The 3417 has the RF remote. Stat wise, it looks very similar to the JET 708620B AFS-1000B.

I ended up getting the Jet version for $300 around Christmas. I wonder how they compare?

They look pretty much the same as far as design. I wonder if they are the same box just rebranded. Mine only had a little dent from shipping compared to the horror I've seen from other reviews lol.

Good price.

I had been looking at these awhile back for my shop. I Just tore up a bunch of concrete and made a lot of dust today. The timing was perfect on this. In for 1. Thanks OP!

How would this work for pollen? I know major overkill, but thought might be nice to run in bedroom before sleep.

Then move to workshop when setup.

I still haven't installed the 400sq ft model I bough almost two years ago for $89 when Amazon and Walmart were having their WEN pricing fight.
I just purchased and installed the 400cfm one. I have been waiting for them to have another price war...

This is pretty big to be moving around like that FYI. It's possible but might do better with a normal air purifier with a HEPA filter.

I have had mine for about 1.5 years and it just quit turning on. I believe they have a 2 year warranty so hopefully it can get situated, but I had been really happy with it in my garage.

Build one for $40 using Jay Bates design. That said, I have one of these and rarely used it anymore
