Just for one more in this column, I've been denied every time I've tried at 3 Cincinnati locations, once by a manager and she even went so far as to accuse me of presenting a fake website to her to get one over on them. One of the many reasons I do as little Walmart shopping as possible.

That's wrong. The only website that they price match is their own. Make sure it is sold and shipped by Walmart and not a 3rd party vendor.

If somebody told you that they can't price match their own site, they were either confused or they lied.

I had 2 different store managers tell me they cannot price match even their own website. I thought it was ridiculous and chatted with Walmart.com and they confirmed what the managers stated. Tried to read over the policy online about price matching and couldn't find anything about in store price matching just matching online. But since then, I have been to other Walmarts and was able to price match from their site just fine. And yes it was sold and shipped from them. So depends on store I guess

I too have been shot down trying to price match a $8 Keurig coffee filter to their online price even though it specifically says they'll do it right in their terms and conditions [walmart.com]. I didn't want to get in an argument right then over a $8 filter so I let it go that time.

According to their own website, they should also price match other online retailer prices as well. They even list the retailers that they will price match.
