Ebay - Earn a $10 coupon for every sale you make in qualifying sports categories. Up to $50 - YMMV

This is a targeted coupon, but maybe more widespread than others, since I never seem to qualify for these Smilie

I do not normally share these as these threads seem to be highly trashed and very narrowly targeted.

The ONLY reason I am sharing this is in case you fall into the following two categories, like I did.

(Also, maybe you had received the targeted email but deleted it without thinking about the followingSmilie

1. you qualify for it
2. You happen to have a smartwatch sitting around from the deals in the past few weeks

Make sure you list the smartwatch in the sports category to qualify. It will be a nice extra $10 .

Hope this helps someone! Enjoy!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please note: Invited sellers must activate the Promotion by selecting "Activate offer" in the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page.

What is the Promotion?
Invited sellers ("Sellers") who first activate the offer, and pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein, list in a Qualifying Category* during the Promotion Period, and then sell one (1) or more items on www.ebay.com for $10 or more, are eligible to earn an eBay Coupon ("Coupon")(the "Promotion"). The Coupon(s) will be valued at $10 per qualifying sale, up to $50.

*Qualifying Categories include:

Sporting Goods
Sport Mem, Cards and Fanshop
Toys & Hobbies > Action Figures > Sports
Collectibles > Autographs > Sports
Tickets & Experiences > Sports Tickets
Who's eligible?
This Promotion is available to Sellers who: (i) received an email and/or message in My eBay; (ii) activated the Promotion from the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page; and (iii) meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.

When is it?
The Promotion will begin on Thursday, January 09, 2020, at 00:00:01 PT (12:00AM plus one second), and will end on Thursday, February 06, 2020, at 23:59:59 PT (11:59PM plus 59 seconds), for listings on www.ebay.com ("Promotion Listing Period"). Sellers who create listings during the Promotion Listing Period, complete final sale(s), and receive payment in full for the item(s) from the buyer by 23:59:59 PT on Friday, March 06, 2020, will be eligible to earn a Coupon.

How do I earn the eBay Coupon?
*The eBay Coupon will be awarded within one week of the completion of a qualifying sale, on a rolling basis. The value of the coupon will be determined by the number of qualifying sales completed in the preceding week. For example, if the member lists one (1) or more qualifying items during the Promotion Listing Period, and one (1) of the items sells for $10 or more during the week of January 13 to January 19, a $10 coupon will be issued during the week of January 20. If, however, two (2) qualifying items are sold for $10 or more each during the week of January 13 to January 19, a $20 coupon will be issued during the week of January 20. A maximum of one coupon will be issued per seller per week. The maximum cumulative value of the coupons earned will be capped at $50.

An item is defined as listed when it is posted for sale on eBay.com and the listing is maintained until 1) the item sells or 2) the end of the listing period is reached. An item is defined as sold when it is paid for in full by a buyer.

Once awarded, the Coupon will also be available in the "Messages" tab within "My eBay". The Coupon is not transferable. Limit of one (1) Coupon per eligible, participating seller. Users will have until the date listed on the Coupon to redeem on www.ebay.com.

ADDITIONAL TERMS:
Please take time to read the full terms for all the details.

Seller will not be able to redeem Coupon when purchasing items from the Coins & Paper Money, Gift Cards & Coupons, and Real Estate categories.
Only Sellers whose accounts meet eBay's minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. Find out more about seller performance standards.
All listings must comply with eBay policies, including eBay's Duplicate Listing policy that allows for the removal of duplicate fixed price listings.
The Promotion excludes listings created prior to activating the offer and listings with a start date prior to, or after, the Promotion Listing Period.
Relists or renewals that occur outside of the Promotion Period will not qualify for the Promotion.

Got that promo. Used all my freebie listings so I'll definitely list a few things next time I get one (list by 2/6, sell by 3/6!).

Holy crap, you are on another Ebay level than i am lol! I barely do one sale a month, much less come close to maxing out my free insertions! Good for you! If you do not mind my asking, what items do you sell? And how do you do so much volume? Some sort of drop ship thing?

Variety of "stuff", mostly low cost items that cost me nothing to get or I got paid to take (rebates, etc). For this promo I've got a few things that have a good chance to sell ($5 or less and since they cost me nothing and can be sent out in an envelope) it's a great promo. I've got a lot of old stadium giveaways from baseball games (with the original tix) I might list if I get a promo with enough free listings in it so I can relist everything I have plus junk. I also have some Trout bobbleheads that I was given that I've never sold that should definitely sell.

I just relist my junk when it expires and I'm amazed at some of the stuff that sells (software that only works on computers which have to be at least 10 years old...… got them free after rebate from OD at least 13 years ago!) How are those computers even still working?

Ah ok. thank you for the reply. I have always wondered what ebay power sellers actually sell. Once newegg/tiger direct FAR died, I did not have much to sell , at least not anything that would actually net a profit in the end. Its funny how the only way I can seem to make money on ebay is by selling free items Smilie About once a month, I will stumble on something in a store end cap or something and it will sell.

I mostly just use FB marketplace now, and have had surprisingly good luck. However, most of those sales are dumping our old baby toys and clothing for fractions of a cent on the dollar. Such a racket!

I wish I had a place to buy baby stuff other than garage sales when my kids were young. Clothes were much more expensive then because we didn't really have the cheap china stuff.

So today..... buy decent looking stuff second hand and resell it. Sure it won't look as good but you didn't spend retail for it..

I was thinking when I retire I should sell all my stuff and my house (my kids would do the same anyway) and rent somewhere in another part of the country for a while, see the sights around there, buy cheap furniture on craigslist and resell it when we move to another area of the country.

That is what it appears to be. I have not received my coupon yet, so I am not sure if there is a lag in issuing it or I did not qualify.

I think I remember the link showing a high level category of sports which seemed to cover a lot. You may want to call or chat to verify. However, I see this as a bonus on top of my sale which already netted a profit. I would be a bit more cautious if you are using this coupon as your profit, I. E selling @ a loss. Good luck!

Not sure how you guys sell stuff on ebay.. I sold one item last month..

Order came to SFO address
Item was shipped same day with sign needed as this was holiday session

FedEx try to deliver x3 times to the address and property manager refuse to sign for the item.
Item was held for pick up at local FedEx location
Customer said they had issue with FedEx where both apt manager and FedEx had fight.
Item came back as not delivered. Customer created case with ebay and they refunded all their money and we ended up paying for the FedEx shipping.
There is NO way to refund on ebay less shipping.

Not sure what I did wrong?. but ebay is full of cheaters and ebay support that. The company is full of crap to sell anything. Paypal took some money from our account as well as fee. Go figure.

I don't think I would have the stomach to be a power seller. I end to make 1 or 2 sales a month, sometimes more sometimes less. I have been doing this for ~10 years and have had fairly good luck. One time I was scammed when I emailed a digital code to someone without mailing it. Apparently that voids all seller protections. I now never send anything digitally, just via mail. The added postage and tracking are worth it for peace of mind.

Additionally I only sell items that I could fully take a loss on and still sleep at night. The highest value item I have sold was maybe 150, and my sourcing price is usually much less than 100$. Also do your due diligence in checking names match the eBay buyer and PayPal. Never ship to an adress other than the PayPal verified address. Etc.. Be wary of. Freight forwarding addresses if it is a non intl sale.

And finally, always offer intl.sale.ootions.thry are the best kind of sale as you are only responsible for getting it to the eBay Kentucky hub, they do the rest. And for whatever reason.you the seller have much more protection against buyers when it is an international sale.

Tldr:eBay is a pain, sell on Facebook marketplace lol

I don't sell to any export shipping addresses...…. ever. I put that in my listings and if someone buys something from me with an export shipping address I refund it (something is wrong with buyer's address is my reason for cancelling the sale) and then I ban them from buying from me again. I send them an email to let them know the reason for cancellation.
