Yes, these are Chinese made, and yes you can get 4 Japanese made ikea lada's for $6.99. However seems like a decent price for a name brand aaa that's isn't amazonbasics which are all Chinese made as well.

Do you have to have Prime for free shipping. I can't find anywhere it says free shipping except when you order $25 or more.

All in short, these made-in-China Duracell rechargeable batteries are terrible. I had these before and many of them no longer charged after a certain period of time sitting in my drawer.

If these are Made in Japan & white tops (rebranded Eneloops), then great deal and go for it. If you get made in China on the packaging and black tops, return or don't waste your time. Just my 2 cents from experience buying these. Good luck.
dang, I was excited but looks like these are junks. 'Made in China' phew

Have you all tried jump starting the batteries? You can place a paperclip across the + side with it touching a good battery while charging. This often initiates the bad ones to charge again....

I actually tried to revive the batteries with a tong [youtu.be], but after awhile they refused to charge again.

Retains charge for up to 1 year is terrible, regardless of where made. Seems more like regular NiHM than the LSD batteries. Eneloop holds 70% of charge after 5 years.

I have a bunch of precharged batteries made in China and they have served me well for a very long time, I'm willing to buy if the price is right, but these are specced to a level I wouldn't even consider. I'm over NiMH and batteries that discharge quickly just sitting on the shelf, I just don't have any relevant applications (like racing RC cars).

yea, that video is dumb. Just place the batteries side by side in the charger with it on and bridge the positive sides with a paperclip like the other guy said. There is no risk of shock. Once the dead battery starts to charge for a few seconds pull out the clip.

The package on the website has "Made in China" on it.
I ended up buying mine from Walmart after the first comment said that they are available there as well for the same price. Unlike Amazon, Walmart's photo of the back of the box says made in Japan so hopefully. Of course I will check them when I receive them before opening.

If you work at an Amazon Fulfillment Center, I think everyone on SD owes you and your co-workers a debt of gratitude!

Repped, as well. ✌🏻
