Consider price point when setting expectations for this. I'm getting $20 of value of it it while not expecting them to perform like my Beats.
Beats? They might be pretty close...

Thanks I bought this last time and really like it. Seems to have a longer charge than most as well. I mainly pair it up with a PC for gaming/movies and the quality is very good at this price point.
Can you use Bluetooth and have it plug in via 3.5mm jack?

Was gifted this for Christmas. Not an audiophile. The noise cancelling feature isn't working. There is a noticeable tonal change when engaged but only about 5 or 10 percent noise cancelling. I can hear the TV in another room easily and even someone across the room speaking in a normal voice. Don't know if I'm expecting too much or I have a defective unit. Response appreciated.
To me, especially in these more affordable headphones, noise cancellation is more for ongoing droning noise like an air conditioner or plane engine noise. I have never had anything that just completely blocks out all noise and I have expensive and inexpensive models.

Noise cancelling does not remove sound. It is meant to remove repetitive low ambient noise. Think of fans, jet engines, cars, etc. You are supposed to hear the TV in the other room or people talking.

Thanks for the link to the Forbes article. It made me realize that I need noise isolating headphones. I travel often with someone who snores and I'd be better served with just ear plugs.

From my experiments in a store with the $400 Bose QC, you can suppress almost all external noise depending on the ANC setting.

What you've posted is true for cheap headsets like the TT. I found my BH-047 make a huge difference in continuous ambient noise like airliner engine/wind noise; reducing it to a whisper. When I first turned it off, I thought it was amplifying that noise, but no. Transient noise is not affected by the TT ANC.

Their reviews seem to be all four and five stars, but they flat out have pictures where they are falling apart. Is this a case where bad reviews are suppressed or you need to give them a good rating to get a replacement?
Company makes offers for discounts if you change negative reviews to more positive so don't believe the reviews. These are just OK (if you consider the price).

I bought these when they were on sale from Amazon last week, and returned them immediately; the ear cups did not fit over my ears. I don't have big ears. Apparently some people find them comfortable, but it's hard to imagine how.

Total Piece of Crap

They sound OK, but they break apart at all the joints with thin plastic.
Twist them a tad, pull them down, whatever, and you have a broken, hanging earpad.

And the buttons are all black and hard to find when wearing it.

TOTAL PIECE of CRAP

When wearing it why do you care what color the buttons are? When I'm wearing headphones I can't see the buttons...
