In-store the TV is discounted to $500. There is a 15% off Roku products in-store promo, they scanned the discount code at the store I was at. Comes out to $462, after tax.

You can check stock locally at your store at the link in OP. You can also (most likely) go in the store and request delivery but order through the store for the discount to $500.

Here's my receipt: https://i.imgur.com/VeVgF5f.jpg

If they give you any issue, ask them for the specific model number and have them do a check on the price. It will be $500, as it's not listed elsewhere as $500 but it is nationwide at Best Buy. Then apply the 15% off through them and their TCL promotion or have them scan the barcode on this image: https://i.imgur.com/fkmKc7t.png.

Previous lowest price I saw was $500. Probably best current performance/value for a 65" TV.

Anyone who bought back in December have luck via chat support to get a partial refund?

Or do you recommend going In store?

See my comment on first page. I just did this at the store.

Edit: just read your question more carefully. You're asking about getting this done via chat. Sorry.

Applying the coupon to my previous $500 order from December did not work in store for me. I'm assuming this was because I got it with the free Google Home Mini and that counts as another promo (coupon states not included with other offers).

You could try online, but they'll probably just see the $730 price tag online and say no. People have definitely had success in-store. Some have even kept the Google Mini that came with that deal, without charge, and the $30 AmEx promo. Makes this TV < $400 even post-tax if you got that lucky. Some have also not had luck. As with credit cards, this is probably very representative dependent. If you get turned down once, try another one, and even then again later if still no luck. Persistence will get you the money back, if you care to do so.

I just got it...In store...the difference in price back , they just returned on paper and billed new purchase .,so u still have to pay but refund will come on original tv...and physically you don't need to return, customer chat won't do anything...as product page shows 730$ price...they will just stop there

Definitely go into the store. Online, the price for this TV shows up at $730, $499 is only the in-store price. And how are you going to show them the existence of a Roku 15% off coupon in a chat? My coupon was emailed by Roku.
And hopefully you didn't do the Free Google Nest deal, because that would negate the price adjustment.

You cannot get the $500 discount (-$230) online, as far as I am aware. It's an internal thing. The store can ring it up and it'll show $500, then you apply the 15% Roku discount.

It will work to take 15% off the online price of $720.

Try again with another rep. Some have definitely had success doing that. See multiple comments in this thread as well as one on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc...y/fe5enwp/

Anyone with experience with both this and the R625 know if the R625 is worth the extra ~$200?

Based on the things I have read, the 625 is the better TV, but is not worth this difference in price. But that's a subjective thing. The comparable TV in this case is the Vizio M7, from what I've read, which is at least $75 more expensive and 10" smaller in a quick scan online.

I did get a Google home mini yea, I haven't opened it yet though. So maybe bring that back.

The 625 also has a VRR update coming this year.
