Hi all,

I didn't see any mention of this elsewhere on SD, but there is a Free National Giveaway for Chick-fil-A starting today (01/13/20).

You must download and open the Chick-fil-A One app, have a registered profile, and login on 01/13/20 or later with location services enabled for the offer to load to your account under the "Rewards" section.

The Freebie is for your choice of either an 8 Ct. Breaded Chicken Nuggets or Kale Crunch Side Salad.

Once loaded to your account, the offer is valid thru 01/31/20.

More info about CFA One Rewards Program:
Chick-fil-A One Rewards Membership [chick-fil-a.com]

NOTE: You may create or login on up to 3 CFA One Rewards accounts per device. After you login to those accounts, they will be tied to your device and you cannot create any additional ones or login to any more existing accounts unless your device is factory reset (or your unique device ID changes)

Update: Promotion appears to last all month long according to many other news sources [ksdk.com].

their regular ones have 1350mg of sodium. and its mostly MSG

No, no high level encryption but CFA does monitor the devices that login to the CFA one accounts. It won't let you login to more than 3 per device. You can try clearing app data and cache but it won't work, same thing with uninstalling and reinstalling. I don't have root access on all my Android devices, but there may be some workaround there. The only reason I know factory reset works is because I had to send my phone in for repair and when it came back, I was able to create additional accounts. However, once I did 3, I was locked out again. You can call CFA and have them release the accounts, but may look a little suspicious and you are only supposed to have one.

CFA One is smarter than most apps. They don't even let you use mock location apps because some Free Offers are triggered by geolocation. Last fall, there was an offer for a Free Chicken Sandwich, but you had to go to Six Flags Freight Fest and be within the parks boundaries in terms of geolocation, and open/login to your CFA one account. I tried spoofing and it said, "Sorry, mock location services are not allowed at this time."
They use android ID to determine whether you have install the app prior on the device before. Android id is a hardware ID. Unless you have root access and the right toolkit, it will follow the device. Your best bet would be to get a used device to sign up for new accounts.

For location spoofing, you will also need root access with the right app to prevent the app from detecting you are using mock location.

It's based on a unique device ID that gets recreated when you factory reset. If you have root you can change that ID. The same thing was used with the DQ app and the free small blizzards. I may or may not have used an old Note 3 with root and wifi hotspot whenever I was craving a blizzard.
Ah okay, I figured there was a way around it with root, but if you play with the Device ID can't that cause issues with other apps and the data stored? I suppose you could just create new accounts, make note of the new device ID you used and then switch back to the original without issues though.

What location spoofing apps fly under the radar with root access?

Any Chick-fil-A politics aside, their employee training program is excellent! I've been to Chick-fil-As across the country and their employees are always extremely friendly and helpful. Waaaay more than expected from a fast food chain. And now free nuggets?! Sounds great! TU!

That is true. Except Little Caesars.

Nice. Been awhile since we've gotten Chick-Fil-A freebies. Watch the receipts, sometimes they offer a free chicken sandwich if you do a survey. I think they are random.

I miss the calendar cards.

We have Red Member status. In the past they have offered free admission to the headquarters tour and the college football hall of fame in Atlanta, GA. Not sure if they still do that.

Yeah, you can totally mess up anything that uses your device ID if there's no account. Usually though once an account is tied to a credential you're fine and can log back into it, but they'll likely update the device ID, I.E. you bought a new phone.

All I had to do for this one is just open up the app. I was already logged in and it still gave me the promo!
Same here. Previous app user, just opened app and free nuggets or kale already loaded.

Thanks OP!!!

I find the number of people willing to manipulate the system with multiple accounts and rooted phones appalling. All in the name of getting more than their fair share and taking advantage of a company's promotion. There's a huge difference between coming to SD to find a good deal on particular items and downright stealing.
