Hi all,

I didn't see any mention of this elsewhere on SD, but there is a Free National Giveaway for Chick-fil-A starting today (01/13/20).

You must download and open the Chick-fil-A One app, have a registered profile, and login on 01/13/20 or later with location services enabled for the offer to load to your account under the "Rewards" section.

The Freebie is for your choice of either an 8 Ct. Breaded Chicken Nuggets or Kale Crunch Side Salad.

Once loaded to your account, the offer is valid thru 01/31/20.

More info about CFA One Rewards Program:
Chick-fil-A One Rewards Membership [chick-fil-a.com]

NOTE: You may create or login on up to 3 CFA One Rewards accounts per device. After you login to those accounts, they will be tied to your device and you cannot create any additional ones or login to any more existing accounts unless your device is factory reset (or your unique device ID changes)

Update: Promotion appears to last all month long according to many other news sources [ksdk.com].

The Free Spicy or Original Chicken Sandwich Survey offer is given to every 1 in 5 people who complete a paid transaction at each Chick-fil-A. To increase your odds, if you are with another person, best to do separate orders to get multiple receipts. However, the 1 in 5 also includes the drive-thru line, so it's pretty hard to time it https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...s/emot-LOL.gif. They have also been testing new mobile surveys that show up in your app under the news tab for about 48 hours after a purchase. Instead of filling out the survey online and getting a QR code in your email, you fill it out within the app and the offer loads directly to the rewards section of your CFA One account. The new mobile surveys have a much shorter expiration time though (I think 14 or 21 days), as opposed to the 90 day receipt ones.

FYI: They won't give you a survey if your order total is zero.

Red Member status is pretty impressive though. I, too, miss the calendar cards although my area runs a Free Item promo once every other month, plus individual operators also have some crazy deals... like Free 30 Ct Nugget Cards with any meal purchase, etc.
Ah never knew the survey is 1 in 5. The CFA closes to my house seems to have the survey more frequent while the other ones I visit seem to have it much less. I have a sandwich waiting in my email right now.

My nearest CFA last week had free regular, spicy, or grilled sandwich in the app. The app seems to pick the location I most recently visited as the "home" CFA and gives offers based on that "home CFA".

baffling that they don't seem to let you set a pickup time for 'order ahead'
You just hit I'm ready for order when you are going to pick up.

No, no high level encryption but CFA does monitor the devices that login to the CFA one accounts. It won't let you login to more than 3 per device. You can try clearing app data and cache but it won't work, same thing with uninstalling and reinstalling. I don't have root access on all my Android devices, but there may be some workaround there. The only reason I know factory reset works is because I had to send my phone in for repair and when it came back, I was able to create additional accounts. However, once I did 3, I was locked out again. You can call CFA and have them release the accounts, but may look a little suspicious and you are only supposed to have one.

CFA One is smarter than most apps. They don't even let you use mock location apps because some Free Offers are triggered by geolocation. Last fall, there was an offer for a Free Chicken Sandwich, but you had to go to Six Flags Fright Fest and be within the parks boundaries in terms of geolocation, and open/login to your CFA one account. I tried spoofing and it said, "Sorry, mock location services are not allowed at this time."
Lmao at "at this time"

Even when you're trying to game the app Chick fil A is polite, lol.
I'm surprised they didn't say "it will be our pleasure to serve you at the actual location."

MSG, no thanks. I can go to Hooters during happy hour or reverse happy hour, and get 8 actual chicken strips for $4.50 in over a dozen different flavors. The plain ones are lower sodium, lower fat, and have less preservatives than Chick Fil A. And there's cute girls too.

Now if this were for a free frosted Lemonade, they'd have me.
FFS, it's free, dude. FREE. Some people complain about everything. Just FO.

Their prices are very high now. So free is good.
Honestly, I just order a large fry and water. That's a meal in itself, especially since the Chic-fil-A sauce is so high in calories lol

That's cool! My CFA's never have Free Offers for my go-to Spicy Chicken sandwiches, it's always the original. However, in September, there was one location that had Mobile Mondays where if you placed a drive-thru order on the app for a meal (including breakfast), they gave you a promo offer card for a Free 64 Ct. Small Nugget Catering Tray (worth ~ $28). Also, one location last month had "receipt days" where anything you purchased (including catering trays as long as they were picked up and not delivered) will be made again for Free if you bring in the original receipt from 01/14 to 3/14.

As for the "home" CFA thing, I think the franchise operators award "Just Because" rewards to customers based on criteria like having visited their location and made a purchase within 30/60 days. The reason I say that is because I was visiting two locations semi-regularly in November and December due to promos and got special offers loaded on the app from each one. The system definitely assigns you a "home" store though, probably based on which location you visit most. I did notice that some franchise operators give special rewards to people for their birthday if they are your "home" store. Like one place here, they give you a Free Original Chicken sandwich valid for your entire birthday month. My dad got one of those because he goes to a different store than I do. But, everyone gets a Free Birthday Cookie because that's a national offer.
