How does that work if you do digital only though? You wouldn't be getting an economist newspaper.

Also has anyone used Apple Pay on discount mags? How does it know where to email the subscription?
Digital only you get emailed a link where you can activate the subscription. You can then read the articles online, over the app, or download the audio version. Comes out Thursday afternoon EST not sure the exact time. The official publish date is Saturday so you sort of get it early.

Makes sense, makes me wonder how Apple Pay works with that or if Apple will forward it to my email? I've never bought anything digital that needed an email with Apple Pay before.

FYI - though the codes listed on this deal are showing expired for me, there is a code posted on another deal that is still working: 'ETSPECIAL'.

This deal was terrible because the merchant is terrible. I ordered it and they changed my print order to a digital order. Then they refused to change it, and offered a refund. After i attempted to take advantage of the refund offer they ghosted me.

Now going through paypal dispute process just to get my money back. THIS IS NOT WORTH IT.

RMDIGITAL App with my library is what I'm using now for FREE digital and I'm giving up on getting the print

Great magazine, but I just can't keep up. It's not an easy/quick read and it being weekly makes it difficult...but if you can manage to read it it's well written. This is a standard/good price for this on SD, though I would consider the print+digital option so you can get the app (which has audio versions of all issues)
Agreed. What I ended up doing is to prioritize articles with global impact over ones that elaborate about some political issue in Malavi.

Big fan of the Economist. While I wouldn't call it unbiased, it's biased towards a more centrist perspective and as such tends to be skeptical of extreme positions on either end of the spectrum. They also do a good job of building up a logical analysis with credible support, and generally include the valid opposing points to round it out. If you want just straight unbiased news, go to AP/Reuters, but if you want reasoned analysis without a lot of partisan spin, the Economist is about as good as they come.

I used to keep up on it, but the reality is that its mostly trivia, knowledge of no lasting value, extremely shallow neoliberal thought. Its a treadmill of masturbation "i'm so informed", not really in any way that matters.

You are better off reading actual books.
