He meant no dividends for items purchased at clearance prices ending in $0.93.
Thanks, exactly. I thought the multi-quote would have been sufficient to get my point across, but i guess not.

heh, I didn't understand his response at first. I was like....uh, you can get a 9 cent dividend on a bag of clearance cookies? Confused

Here's an example: Click link to clearance Men's: filter - brand: Arc'teryx, size: Large, Alpha SV jacket. All large sizes are full price. Discounted colorway is pilot and only available in XL.
When I tried this, it does give me clothes for that size that aren't on clearance, but it separates the clearance large from non-clearance large. It lists all clearance large items first with red price, and then it lists all non clearance large items in black price.

ya, my point is that in some cases, there are actually no larges available on clearance, only in a different size on clearance. so the filter doesn't quite work right. You think you might have a hit but then the clearance option is for a different size

I saw this as well.

Does anyone know if individual stores offer larger discounts on these items (not counting the garage sales)?

Thanks

But it DOES show just the clearance items, just the non clearance sizes come AFTER.

It shows all large arcteryx that are clearanced with a red price, then shows all the large arcteryx that are non clearanced with a black price. It completely separates them so you know exactly what is clearanced and what is not. I clicked on every large arcteryx they had with a red price, and they all had larges that were on clearance. Not sure where your issue is exactly. I think maybe you are looking at just large arcteryx items instead of being in the clearance section first, and then looking at the large arcteryx. FYI, the coat to told me to look at doesn't appear for me in the clearance section when I am looking at clearance large arcteryx.

I have never been disrespected as much as I was when I went to the Albuquerque REI store. I need camping gear, clothes and shoes, and the guy helped me then left to help someone else. He said we don't have that shoe in your size and then went to help someone else with old REI shoes on! Fine, I can spend my money somewhere else.

I would also add that actions like these (abusing loopholes and other benefits of a store) are perfectly legal, but ruin it for others in the long term. I would point to L.L.Bean when they decided to get rid of their lifetime return policy. Too many people were abusing that policy to a degree that the company couldn't afford to keep it.
The problem with L.L. Bean was that they were no longer selling products that had any durability anymore. It's not a good business model to sell products with a lifetime warranty that would wear out after a few months of use.

Stuff is a little expensive at REI. You'll probably want to check out sierra trading post. its more affordable for you.

I would agree with you in general on their quality. It's not bad, but it definitely seemed better before in my opinion.

Although, I know a guy who said that girlfriend would go once a year to get her slippers replaced for free for new ones, year after year. She olny paid once for the slippers but got new ones every year under their old policy. Policies like that are bound to be exploited.
