I just realized neither of these has a headphone jack output. I know it's not a big deal for most, but heads-up for those of us interested in that. (e.g. for use on planes)

Funny, I was hoping for that too. I picked up the discounted Aukey 7-in-1 last month and although it works alright, i'm disliking that my 45w charger gets read as a 40w (and windows complains about slow charging). I'm curious if the Anker units do this too.
im waiting for 7 in 1 too. Got an alert set. PD and an extra usb type c port would be perfect.

Does it require power to use it just for hdmi display from a cellphone?

Great minds think alike! How do you pick between the 60 pd option vs the 100w one?

I want dual 2k monitors on my laptop and it seems the only hubs that will work for that cost >$200 as they need to be thunderbolt and for whatever reason are insanely expensive Frown

no charging (PD) . Big NO.

There are USBC hubs in this price range (on deals here) that have PD and which do work.

Dont see any reason for frontpage.

Both are 4k@30Hz, just FYI.

With these hubs it's gonna be tough, at least currently, to find anything over 30Hz... I have a hub plugged into my MacBook and a separate USB-C to DisplayPort cable connecting directly from the laptop to the monitor to achieve 60Hz. Found this to be the best solution, at least for now...
I got a ton of flak the last time I tried discussing the 4k@60Hz on a multi-port USB-C hub (vs a dedicated USB-C to HDMI only "adapter") but if you're interested read: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=133458752&postcount=41

Here is one that does HDMI 4K@60Hz but note that USB speeds drop to USB2.0 speed when used .... proving my point: https://www.amazon.com/Type-C-typ...340&sr=8-6

Why? Not kidding. I see other hubs that come with USB-C or USB-µB to USB-A cables but they cost $150+.

Targus Universal USB 3.0 Dual Video 4K Docking Station (DOCK160USZ-50) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01N1...hEbR00HFW7

Although I did just find a USB-A one for $65. Still more than this though.

Well, I guess you are right sir. For some reason I was imagining you were asking to connect to a USB 2 port, but a 3.0 port should be viable so you have a valid query. My apologies.

Because that's the one everybody wants - they don't need to discount it to make sales. Why sell for less when you don't need to? Mo' money.
