I have similar set for a few years in strategic places and the answer is they can definitely damage the paint and the paper layer of drywall if you yank it hard off the wall. I was able to carefully remove one with no damage, but I had a small child decide to yank on one and it ripped the paint off. I recommend using the screws, easier to repair screw holes.

I literally just bought a few of these a couple of days ago. Great for those area where you need a night light to turn on while it's dark (hallways, stairs).

Has a high and low setting for brightness. It's enough light so you aren't blinded by them, but you can see where you're going. I don't see why you would want them to be super bright.

The 3m tape holds very very well. It will totally ruin your wall if you want to rip it off. Pick a spot you really like so you won't need to worry. A little spackle and paint will fix up the damage if needed.

I have used these before: AMIR Upgraded Motion Sensor Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRIH...hEbTKN8GBB

I find those 6 leds kind of shine in your face. The eufy lights are much gentler and look more elegant. Get soft white for any sort of night light. 5000K blue light is too harsh at night.

Motion sensing is much better than the Amir lights I had. The light slides off the back easily for battery changing.

Cons: it takes a few seconds for the motion sensing to activate if you just turned off the light. That means you'll be standing awkwardly in the dark for those few seconds. Another quirk: if the light is in a dark room, but faces a room with a light, it'll detect turning on/off that light as movement.

I absolutely love these and would recommend them.

These lights are not that bright. And yes, you have to stick a 3M tape on the other end and it will chip off your wall in case you need to remove the entire assembly.

Wouldn't these destroy your drywall being stuck on the wall?

I got a pair like these nearly two years ago: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074X77RTS/ and hung them on a command strip hook [amazon.com]. One of them is hanging on a bookshelf, not a wall, but the command strip still worked well.

They're great, and USB-mini rechargeable, but one of them died and won't recharge, and the plastic bit that you hang it from broke. So I'm looking to replace them.. would love to get these, but they don't look so convenient to hang.

These are fantastic, even at the original price point. I put them on all our closet and bathroom door frames, without even using the sticky pads. They only activate when it's dark, and the motion detection sensor has an impressive field of view. Battery life is at least 6 months, since I got them in June. My only complaint is the amount of time it stays lit after motion ends, which is about 10 seconds and isn't adjustable.

I would get these if they were plug-in. I hate dealing with batteries.

I have the original version of these and going to pick these up as well. Instead of using their sticky tape, I used 3M Command Picture Hanging Strips. Works great for me!
