Can these be hooked up to a solar panel so they don't need to be recharged?

Yes, they can be, but you have to find a way to weatherproof the input, using silicon, looping, etc.

User error.
How is this a user error? Supposedly the "human only" feature should avoid false positives, but it doesn't work properly. It regularly misses picking up the video. Check reviews, I am not the only one. I have worked in IT (specifically networking) for over 10 years, I am positive it is set up correctly. Yes it will catch more if I turn off the human only feature but then it picks up videos of animals, etc.

I've got the eufyCam 2 which is similar to the eufyCam 2C. The app gives a warning message about charging the battery only when the ambient temperature is between 32 deg F and 113 deg F. Makes sense. Suggest the solar panel set-up include a temperature controller to avoid battery damage.

I would never trust a guy that stayed in IT for a decade - that tells me more about your technical prowess than you want.

The cams are still budget - they need good line of sight, so do not position them high and then point them downwards like a lot of folks do. They are also very wide and AI works best in the middle 30% of the viewport for it to work - hence why it shouldn't be angled down much. If you expect AI to work on an image that is as distorted as an ultrawide edge to edge, you are asking too much. They need good lighting so if you expect AI to work in night vision - its not going to happen.

Did the beta for this camera. We found that after updates restarting the hub helps a great deal with the false positives. We also saw improvements replacing the activity zones. Not every time but sometimes if needed. Even restarting the cameras saw improvements after updates. My cameras arnt getting the false positives anymore. I live on a busy road and for a while they did. You have to tweak the sensitivity levels and adjust the activity zones. They work well for me now.

Same 350, but includes a 3rd camera for free.

I say all this, and still don't know if it's worth it vs 2C or others. I also noticed the Kasa camera (TP-Link) finally released their wireless outdoor camera. I like their indoor cameras, especially since Lenovo smart display finally fixed their connection, but the new outdoor model doesn't have any stated battery life claims.
