thoughts on buying a floor model desktop from costco

80 22 January 14, 2020 at 12:05 AM
I wouldn't buy a floor model laptop, but desktop seems ok since it isn;t really connected to a display. the only downside is that it may have been turned on for a few months..

any suggestions ? I'm planning on asking if they will discount further than the listed price.

Dell XPS 8390 i7 16GB RAM - Listed at $849

9th Gen Intel® Core i7-9700 Processor
1TB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive + 256GB PCIe Solid State Drive
4GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti Graphics
802.11 Dual Band Wireless-AC + Bluetooth® 4.2

So the floor model isn't discounted any more from being a new model? I feel kind of like that's a luke warm deal to start with and would probably pass.

bulb save money by checking your insurance every 2 years (and not every 20) Thanks Liberty Mutual for reminding me to shop. The $842 increase this year sums it up. Across the board increase for Ohio....whatever

Are we really still buying computers with fairly high end processors and mechanical hard drives in 2020? I can't recommend that to anyone unless they plan to add a SSD day one.

the lowest price given was 10% of listed price which is 750 currently

it looks like this has been on the floor since June 2019.
