what are the benefits of glass and not having the heating coils touch the water?

you can just buy a 1.8L for a bit more [walmart.com], and it will do exactly the same and look better, just pour 1L of water
I don't think you read my comment all the way through...

I didn't realize you had to be asked to comment now. Please accept my apologies, I didn't know you'd get so offended. Great recommendation
Not offended by any means and apologies aren't necessary. If someone wants glass with all of those settings and it's in their budget then it was a worthwhile post and/or gives them a jumping off point to go from otherwise. I just wanted to provide an option as requested.

Please is there any decent kettle I can buy? It seems everything is suspicious. I just ordered a Hamilton Beach from Amazon and it came opened with a piece of paper with handwriting inside it that was in Chinese.

Seriously, it seems like everything has issues.

COSORI CO171-GK2 Electric Kettle, 7.3 x 9 x 11.7 in, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VXVF...hEbQY3H4FY

This is the one I have and it's been very good. Heats quickly. Shuts off when removed from the base. Auto shutdown when finished boiling. Used every single day at my house up to four times a day since July 2019.
What's the stainless steel filter for?

great deal. These don't last very long - last about two years. They also get rusty pretty quick, so you'll want to wash them with vinegar every 3-4 weeks.

I have the Secura electric kettle [amazon.com], the interior is one piece stainless steel, the heating element heats the body and never comes in contact with water. You can cherry pick all you want but it's one of the highest rated electric kettles on amazon. It also has the most reviews (6000+) of all electric kettles on Amazon.

The one you linked has 6 reviews... and they are not good reviews. You just admitted that I was correct in that the "100% glass body" is not a 100% glass interior and contains plastic.

I don't think I need to say any more.
actually you could say more . . . like about how fake the review numbers are, or about reading overwhelming and consistent negative reviews about all the rust. google the steel used in the secura kettle and you will realize rust inevitable.

Amazon shows $19.96 as the regular price. Why does Slickdeals shows $24.99?

biggest benefit one is that you can see when your liquid is about to boil. I use mine to boil chai and cofee and the steel ones were always overboiling and spilling. The glass ones let you see through. Huge+ IMHO

though i am still looking for a 1L wide mouth glass kettle.

Love it. I have had this kettle for about 9 months and bought my sister one that she has had for over a year. Fast and convenient. It is perfect size to boil enough water for 30oz french press. Saves me a lot on electricity versus boiling water on stovetop plus my AC doesnt kick on like when I was using stovetop heating method. I like the all stainless interior (water level mechanism is plastic or rubber however). the glass ones had much more plastic parts and many reviews had them leaking after some time FWIW.
