You know the s9 isn't waterproof right?? They tested them in distilled water (non conductive) and rated them ip68 (water resistant not water proof).

On top of that ip68 is rated at 1.5m 30mins. Save the money on the charger and put it towards a new phone. They will not warranty any water damage. Good luck.
I've used in in the ocean multiple times. No problems.

Honest question, is wireless charging really that much more convenient than just plugging the phone in? I don't see much benefit to it tbh.
First of all it's much more convenient than plugging it in. Secondly have you seen how much they charge to repair a worn out phone connector? These plugs are not durable. What could be easier than simply setting down your phone to charge it?

It is nice to sit on your desk and you can grab it and go without messing with cords so yes, when I'm on the couch and want to use it while gaming I use the cord

The benefit is you don't have to buy those fragile charging cable anymore, at least not that frequent.

Eh, they are ok. They work. I'm on my 2nd one in last 6 months though. First one just gave a loud squealing noise with a Galaxy S8. They sent a replacement, worked fine. Then I bought a S10, worked fine for a few weeks, now get a low sounding squealing noise out of this charger.

I bought into the tech when first came out, then scratched my head trying to figure out where I would use it.

My best spot, that turned out very useful was bed side. In the dark its a pain in the rear to find the cord that has fallen behind your nightstand and try to "get it in the hole"

Very handy when you decide you want to play on phone or take a text, simply pick up phone and when finished set back down. No hunting for cord in the pitch black, and trying to find a way to convince her to let you get it in the port. Phones can be shiesty wanting you to lift case flaps up, and finding the correct entry . Best way around this charger port foreplay is to buy a wireless charger and get your charge regardless if the phone is ready or not.
Lol. But did you get written consent from the phone? 🤣😂

Agreed. The set it and forget it makes it nice. It's like having remote keyless entry for your car versus having to use a key. Using a key isn't difficult or take that long, but once you go touch only, you won't go back.

There is the potential for the port to get damaged too after so much plugging/unplugging. Not that probable, especially if you get new phones frequently, but possible.
I think remote key is a perfect comparison. I have one in my home office that I got for free... now I got one for my bedside.

Good deal but I'd much rather go with Anker and get this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Wire...07THHQMHM/
Anker is the "real" company, and Aukey is the shill company, right?

Fakespot D FYI:

For iPhones, they nerfed all non Apple store chargers after iOS 13.1. I tested this with my Ravpower wireless chargers, and it's barely getting 5 watts.

30 minutes at 1.5 meters is more than most people need for casual underwater vacation pics. And those are minimum ratings ... most would be fine a bit deeper / longer, but don't go leaving it at the bottom of the pool for hours. Also, salt water versus distilled isn't going to degrade the water resistance ... it's only harsher because of the potential for corrosion of the connectors, so thorough rinsing in fresh water afterward is a good idea.
