That's a VA panel. Some people won't notice a difference, but it's not IPS.

Do you work for Dell or something? Someone else above you already confirmed that this LG will charge. Don't provide incorrect info if you aren't sure.
Nope. Just mistaken. Updated my post to reflect as much.

Would there be black bars if you used this with Xbox One X at 1440p or 4k?

Height wise, does this match a 24" or 27"?
27". It's basically a 27" with extensions on the left and right. A 29" ultrawide would be a extended 24" 16:9 monitor.

Yes unfortunately. Console games don't have support for ultra wide monitors ☹️

Question, does HDR rely on monitor brightness? I have an HDR400 monitor and for eye strain I turn down brightness to 35%. Seriously, looking at blinding white excel spreadsheets does not work for me.

Just wondering if HDR really matters if you use a monitor for office productivity.

Maybe good screen for a content creator or video/photo editor with the extra tool space on the side. Definitely not for a gamer with only ,60 frames. I run the urlhasbeenblocked GN34CB and the freesync capabilities thru the displayport works flawlessly with my 1080ti. 100 hz vs 60 hz is very noticeable during movement.

Would this be a better purchase for someone who wants to do photo editing than a 4k IPS monitor like the Dell U2718Q or the LG 27UK650-W which are both about the same price?

Since it seems like they have similar specs other than the resolution / UW, I suppose my question boils down to which is better for photo editing: 4K or 1440p Ultrawide

Thanks

Monitor isn't even 4k, it's a 2k monitor

I don't think you read my post correctly. The other two options are the same price and 4K but not ultrawide. This one is 1440p and ultrawide. So which is better for photo editing. 4K or 1440p and ultrawide.

had this monitor and returned, poor color production even with wcg, horrible hdr contents reproduce and light well on every corner. white balance was little off on some part of screen as well.
