FYI I have done all of these (Canvas, wood, metal, wood hangar, and floating) The highest quality in my opinion and which will last the longest are the Floating frames. They are essentially a frame (likely plastic) that looks like wood (good imitation) that is strong and sturdy with a glass panel in it with the picture in the center.

Canvas is great but they can scratch easily the photo off so be warned, the wood is simply a photo glued on, they peel off from dryness after half a year, also scratch off. The metal is ok but I don't like the look of it as much.

Anyway there is my two sense. $12.50 for the floating frame is well worth it!

For the floating frame, can the photo drop or shift position over time (the way it could if positioned in a "floating" manner in a regular frame)? The description notes that the framing is permanent, so I'm assuming it can't be opened later to correct the position (if the photo can shift) or replace the photo.

Mine have never moved so I cannot attest to it. Sorry, it would appear they are very sturdily in there though!

Was using Walgreens for awhile and switched to Amazon for prints, Walgreens quality is really poor, at least all our local stores. Color completely off, not even bothering with free prints anymore personally, but stick to their free stuff.

Thanks OP.

I have had good luck for my local B&M but I think it is variable depending on the store's equipment and the operator. I would look for a Walgreen's that has equipment to offer the larger prints with 1 hour pickup since that requires newer equipment.

The nice thing about the B&M is that it is easy to reject the print on the spot for a refund.

All depends on your local store as far as quality. I've done tons now through my local CVS and Walgreens due to wedding and baby pics. My local Walgreens sucks compared to my CVS. The free 4x6 prints are white washed, canvas print with black edge is completely off center showing angle strips of black on the front. The only item that remotely came out good was hanging picture with the wooden block. I have had no issues with my CVS ones, very true to the pics I uploaded....maybe with a tint of darkness, but not noticeable. I will continue to snag the free or almost free Walgreen deals and stick to CVS for the canvas, more expensive items. Also wanted to note - Walgreen canvas seem to be made in store while the CVS ones are shipped to store, perhaps that's the quality difference.

Per your opinion, which one looks more like wood, the back frame or the brown one. I like both, but cannot judge looking at the pictures
