It was an achievement for all of humanity (and a warning to Russia). Canada and the United States collaborated on satellite programs. A Canadian company built the lunar lander's landing gear.

Saying that mankind setting foot on the moon was solely an American achievement is ridiculous and petty.
It is an American achievement

As well as a human and Canadian achievement. Keep working at it, eventually you'll get it.

A GREAT deal for a LOUSY movie!!

For reason not very clear, this movie went out of its way to portray Neil Armstrong as cold and aloof and unable to communicate with his children. I have no idea how realistic this portrayal is, I just question why anyone would want to see a movie where THIS is the main focus, rather than the actual trip to the Moon!!

Well, unfortunately, these days if you aren't my/our colleague, you're essentially a socialist. Go Bernie/Liz....Confused

Keep pretending, if it makes you feel better that's okay. Not a Canadian achievement. It was an American (United States) achievement. Still is, since nobody else has gone.

This is a silly argument. You're wrong and that's the end of it.

I don't even care, I was just highlighting the controversy, it wasn't the flag it was their hack actor's comments on his press tour before the movie.

I watched the movie because I watch all space related movies and it was just a bad movie.

Terrible movie
Compare this opening to the films.

Watch the documentary series, skip the film.

Not sure what the point of 4k is when this movie felt like tv budget trash. Apollo 13 looked awesome in 4k,they did everything they could to make it look real. Same with 2001, first man was just embarrassing.

Bought this on BF on a BB deal. Can't remember the price but the movie is outstanding in everyway and fit for all ages.
He was a brilliant engineer, combat veteran, and test pilot in the X-15 as well as Apollo.. All kinds of test pilots but he was at the top. Literally! I guess this is a pilots (34 years for etp7) movie as I really enjoyed it as well as my wife.

National hero and world wide hero that was humble and not outspoken (what was inside is what counted). True story and a great watch. Bring a handkerchief.

It's like real life! It's all about the story not how good you look or how well you speak.

I remember my first speech to a very large audience and I could barely walk to the podium I was so scared.
