Yuck all 12v lol. I don't see the point in the DeWalt 12v line yet. Not enough tools in the line and the tools they do have are really not significant smaller than some of the newer brushless 20v versions.

I think until they have a broader offering you might as well stick to Milwaukee for campact tools... This coming from a dewalt fanboy with 15 20v tools.

I'm right there with you 15+ 20v tools. I want to like their 12v but at this point I like my 12v Milwaukees more. This was tempting...

I purchased the 1/4" impact around Christmas with the free light for $99 before they raised it to a "New Lower Price" of $119. I posted a deal on the impact/drill combo from Maxtool for $114 w/ no tax before Christmas, but that offer is long gone.
We have been using the Dewalt 12v tools at work since 2011 with great success. The newer version has more power, bigger battery capacity.

I have been holding off so long for dewalt to come out with a competing 12v line. I am 100 percent dewalt and really don't want to buy Milwaukee 12v but one day sooner or later I'll see a deal and buy it if they don't step their game up.

I completely disagree. I go for my 12v impact before my 20v XR. It's ridiculously light. I was hesitant at first, but I bought one before I rebuilt my front deck and it handled it with ease.

I ended up getting the drill as well. They are both my first choice, unless the job requires something bigger. I have a good amount of the XR series, so I don't see these as a replacement for that series, they're different, and if you have a lot of screws to drive, the 12v is by far the better choice imo.
