Hate it when they upsell the more expensive model by *adjusting" the picture on the lower model to make it look worse.
Nah I reset them all to one of the standard settings, cinema or movie or whatever it is and checked through the other settings. They were all the same (the settings vary a little bit between the 3 models, the higher end ones have some more adjustments but they were all 0'd out).

6 series has a 60hz refresh.
This one has 120hz.
Better for gaming which a ton a people do.
Well actually it depends most console gaming is locked at 60fps so a 120hz tv wouldn't help. Unless you were PC gaming at higher than 60fps on it it shouldn't make a difference.

Just fyi to anyone wanting to purchase the q series. These tvs have some issues. 1 is the wifi has serious dropout constantly disconnecting for no reason whatsoever. OK I'll just hard wire it. Nope still thinks it's losing connection. There is something really messed up with their internet connection. Second the TV loves to randomly turn itself on and off so you will want to turn off any instant on, turn on by mobile or anynet to make sure you don't get these random experiences. Sadly then you lose lots of functionality on your shiny new TV. So beware of these issues I have had my q70 since black Friday and it has been a real headache. Samsung can't provide any proper support so it will be going back this weekend can't take it anymore.
yea wifi disconnecting, i would have taken it back the first day. they are called lemons

None of the Samsung TVs support Dolby Vision. They are the only major manufacturer to not support Dolby Vision and only support HDR 10+ for which content is sparse.
What's the difference, pretty ignorant to these things😫

In simple terms, HDR format is a technology which offers better picture quality. There are many HDR formats; HDR10 and Dolby Vision are the most widely used. HDR10 is Samsung's implementation while DV is Dolby's. The latter is widely used in all major brands except Samsung. Netflix, Apple tv+, Disney+ and many other providers offer their content in Dolby Vision but HDR10 providers are not that many except over the air content. It's pretty interesting topic. Check out digital trends' website and other websites through search for detailed info.

It's going to be a long wait for good prices on 2020 sets. Should be worth it if they're true hdmi 2.1, though.

"The Q60R is a good TV for most uses. It has an excellent native contrast ratio, but only decent black uniformity. It has decent peak brightness, but can't get bright enough to overcome glare in a really bright room. Motion looks great thanks to the extremely fast response time, and gamers will appreciate the extraordinary low input lag and FreeSync support."

How can you fully take advantage of the 120hz display? They only thing I can think of is with a PC but you can only do 1080p at that refresh rate because of HDMI 2.0
Do people game on tvs at 1080p 120hz? Genuinely curious.
