Induction-ready, aluminum and copper core, more comfortable handles than All Clad
Includes:
10" skillet
12" skillet
4.5qt saute pan
2qt sauce pan
3qt sauce pan
8qt stock pot
Also has rolled lips (prevents messy spills), laser etched volumes on the inside. They seemed very well-built, heavy -- time will tell if they warp

how do you know these are all-clad
I don't think anybody "knows" but since Kirkland is just a brand name and not a manufacturer, people will always try to figure out who actually manufactured it by comparing the look to that of other lines. This line LOOKS very similar to an All-Clad product, thus the conclusion.

The price we are comparing to is that of All Clad Copper Core made in the US which is $949 on Amazon for example. If it is made by AC and the emphasis is on IF it is a heck of a deal. It's hard to believe All Clad would let Costco completely rip off thier product without reprecussions. I know All Clad pans from business experience and they look the same except handles and lids. They clearly state made in China.

I just grabbed a set as a future present for my middle son. Stuff looks and feels really nice especially in comparison to my try-ply that I've been happy with for the past several years.

There's a bunch of Stainless steel clad cookware brands out there so it could be any number of manufacturers.

Not if you heat up the pans and oil correctly.

I'd be curious to hear the opinion of someone who has the All Clad Copper Core. Looking at photos of the all-clad, the copper is sandwiched between the steel layers all the way to the edge. On these, it doesn't look like the copper goes to the top. It's nice though that this set has steel lids and it might be worth it for this price, even if the copper doesn't go to the top, when compared to the Cuisinart SS Clad set, which goes for around this price.
I have a 8pc all clad copper core set. The handles and pot lid handles are different.

Also from the pictures the copper isn't exposed at the edge on the Kirkland set. You can't tell if the copper core goes all the way up the edge.

At this price, it's likely that the copper ring around the side is fake. Similar to the Emerilware copper core pots where the copper will disappear over time.

That being said, this is still probably better than a non copper set. Just not a great show-off piece if that's what you care about.

Odd that would be the exact reason! What a hideous design choice Facepalm
I run my all clad copper core through the dishwasher all the time without any issue. If you want to look new again, bar keepers friend works very well.

at this price if it is really copper core that is a steal. best guess is the copper ring is just decoration. still nice set though either way.

Saw this set a few weeks ago and gave it a hard look. We had just purchased a lot of cookware (Kitchenaid 7 ply deal found on SD) but for the price, this had me wondering whether I had made the right choice!

I was able to find a few reviews online regarding this particular set... it seems there was another Kirkland branded 7 ply set from about 10 years ago that didn't have copper. From those reviews, it seems that the copper ring is ornamental and will fade over time.

The pans seemed to have some nice weight to them, and I have considered purchasing it as a gift for my parents... at least then I can see how they hold up and have an opportunity to cook with them and compare them to my new set!

The copper is clad through the entire pot. I added a pic to the post that shows it

Does it say anywhere on the box this is copper core as opposed to aesthetic bands of copper both on the rim and exposed sidewall? Short of cutting the pan open or the box confirming one of the ply is copper, the 5 plys could just be aluminum and stainless steel.
