TJs raw almond butter (my go to) is around same price...if this was say 2 or 3 bucks would be hot but at 6.11 it's just ok (I did buy it).

All I know is that for $5, 16oz of dry weight almonds from trader Joe's does not turn into 16 volume ounces once it's made.
Still, their almonds are less pasturized in heat than whatever Costco does to theirs.
You can tell how raw an almond tastes.
Of course if you really want it raw, be willing to pay a hell of a lot more.

... how much volume does a pound of almonds take up?

Palm oil.

I believe the amount of palm oil is low/negligible. That said, there are too many options out there. I get the Kirkland brand from Costco, which has zero additives. This is a great price though.

Agree. I'm paying for almonds...not palm trees.

I normally get the Kirkland Signature brand but find it can sometimes be a bit runny.

Too bad the maple or honey flavors aren't available at this price.
