This argument pops up with EVERY Newark airport deal, usually consisting of people from everywhere in the world EXCEPT the NYC/NJ area, it cracks me up.

Newark airport, in NJ is one of the three NYC-area airports and is also arguably the most accessible airport to Manhattan.

Ironically, the closest airport to Manhattan, LGA, is probably the least accessible and travel involving LGA or JFK usually has me questioning the entire trip altogether whereas EWR comparably isn't that bad (still worse than most airports in the world).

Tolls to drive up to NYC are about $30 one way

Why are they called the New York Giants if they play in New Jersey?

Get over yourself.

Might be cheaper and faster to drive thanks to all the security checks and fees at the airport?

That's likely not including bridge and tunnel tolls to get into New York City. The cost of tolls alone may exceed the cost of the round trip flight.

Definitely isn't and if you need to avoid traffic the tolls are ~45ish to go around DC instead of ~30ish (drove from Florida to Mass recently, tolls don't start till like Maryland or something so they're the same from Charlotte). But ya this was without having to take anything into NYC but this flight is to Newark.

Why does the thread title say NY? Are there any deals to LGA or JFK?

Everyone knows where the Giants play. Most people who live in NY aren't interested in flying to NJ if they can help it. Why not just put EWR or Newark Airport in the title to those millions of people don't have to click on a link for a deal that doesn't exist? Seems like a simple request. People kill posters for not putting correct information in the title all the time.
no need to thumb down this deal for that reason. sheesh. you do know that in any flight search you put in NYC airport and three airport come up LGA JFK and EWR. and just so you know, from Newark to Manhattan is 11 miles.

Definitely not faster, it's at least 9h drive vs 2h flight, and let's say 2h check-in.
The price includes airport fees. Include 1 carry-on and if you have AA CC also includes one checked in luggage for you and your companions. I already flown this 2 weeks ago.
