Seriously research Stadia before you get it. The platform is awful.
Do you actually have it or did you just watch videos? I got the founder package and have had nothing but an excellent experience since day 1.

My cousin in the Bay Area has never heard of FIOS.
And over there, they use high speed DSL.
Cali is weird.

I didn't watch videos. I did actual research in how much data it will use, player bases and overall performance. I mean I guess if you can't afford to get into PC gaming, maybe. But by the time you pay for the data involved you could have bought a decent gaming desktop. Gaming as a service is a cool concept but poor in execution. Sales are awful. Google will abandon support within a year guaranteed.

Maybe you are right but people that are actually using it are enjoying it. It just amazes me how people bash something based on "research" and don't actually try it to form their own opinion.

I also live in an area with no data caps so there is no additional fees for me.

I believe FiOS is only on the east coast.

This will be garbage until I can play my own steam games instead of buying old games at full price.

The bay area has NEVER made any sense in this respect, ever ... The world's hub for internet stuff, and everyone is stuck with comcrap or, if you're old enough, ...anyone remember sprint broadband direct?!

If you can get fios, and get a triple plays, gigabit is the only thing offered now. It's genius marketing because vz knows everyone uses wifi, which rarely broaches half that speed. The best deals are every black friday.

If your contract expires around then, consider waiting. I got two referral cards (from my mom and myself), as well as an Amazon echo and a ring doorbell.

I wish we had FiOS. Instead I'm stuck with charter jacking up their rates every other month.
I hear that. Keep getting my rates raised by $5 every few months ever since they upgraded me to 200 mbps service "for free."

Fios is not available in Cali. And I have been using cable modem for 20 years. So it's just your cousin.

I think you have the terms Gaming as a Service and Game Streaming Service confused.

The term Gaming as a Service is used to describe games that have continual content updates that allows you to keep playing the game after the initial base game purchase (ie. Destiny, Anthem, Fallout 76, Siege, For Honor, etc.)

Game Streaming Service means streaming the games to your system like the Stadia, PS Now, etc.
