Isn't this 55" 4-series about that price everywhere?

I'm using a 43" 4 series for my bedroom which works great. Although it like to upgrade the size at some point. Still waiting for a deal on 75" 4 series. Youd think those would fall in price eventually considering it was released in 2018 and those models are getting old

1) Same TCL (55S423) is available at Costco B&M for $269.99 (or $259.99, can't remember exactly) right now, with 4-year warranty if you use Costco Citi Visa.

2) The TCL 4 Series has an excellent picture/features, perfect for a cord cutter/TV antenna for local channels/streamer like me. LOVE MY TCL!! The 6 Series is almost double at a couple hundred dollars more. For my money, the 4 is a much better value, especially for evolving electronics like TVs.

Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: TCL 55" 6 Series is $400 at Costco.com. I'd still get the 4 Series and pocket the money, but getting closer...

55R625 is the new 6 series with voice remote and better processor

Also don't forget the color accuracy of this tv has been tested and is pretty darn accurate you could actually do some photo and video color grading with this tv. And latency is somewhere in the low 20s response time so you could also use it for gaming with a PC.

$270 is still pretty good for this TV.

Best Buy had this same set under the Hisense brand for $250 a few weeks ago.

The only difference between TCL and Hisense is Hisense takes B-grade panels while TCL moved up to A-grade.

I can speak from experience that while this TV is definitely not capable of attaining an absolutely desirable picture setting with what's available (Roku menus continue to suck), the panel itself is really good out of the box. You can enhance it even more by getting the Roku app and playing with the gamma.

I usually lean toward a cool color temperature and bring my white balances up from there, but this panel is pretty spot on with the "normal" setting — not overly yellow at all.

Put any other TV on "normal" and you'll automatically be wrong. "Warm" for gaming is even more wrong.

Ah... Costco sells the Model 55R613, with a 4.6 score out of 5 (325 reviews), excellent score.

Former front page deal specifies "Voice Remote," not sure about processor.

TCL's website also specifies an "Enhanced Remote with Voice Control"

If you want to use built-in apps then the processor matters. If you are going to plug in your favorite streaming device, it doesn't really matter.

I returned this and got the 5 series from Best Buy for the same price when they ran that 15% off deal. The dolby vision is worth the difference IMO.

Wait a few weeks for the new models to release. Series 4-6 will drop down in price as well.

At the very least wait til next week for Super Bowl price cuts
