Software dev with home office here, this monitor is great, I have one right now and if it'd been at this price last time I got new monitors I'd have 3. If you're looking for a coding/business/graphic design type monitor at this resolution, jump on it. I don't game on my machine, and this isn't a gaming monitor, so move along if that's your goal.

This class of monitor... it's hard to capture in its specs or in words how it looks relative to cheaper panels. It's like looking at nice bright flat paper, super easy on the eyes relative to cheaper panels (I previously had this, a similar class HP monitor and a $120 24" HP IPS all next to each other, and the cheap monitor was visibly worse looking with something like VSCode open). I ended up replacing that cheaper HP with a similar Dell 24" and it's much better.

Lol this monitor sucks. I had the 32" 1440p that recently came out which was sold out for some time. Can see pixels. Prob better on a 27". Couldn't be any happier with my Samsung 32" 4K curve. Don't game really. 4K with 150% scaling is my sweet spot. Basically 1440p but much better pic quality
Sorry, your credibility was lost when you ended with I own a "Samsung 32" 4K curved".

I got Dell to price match the pair of monitors I bought on the previous deal which are to be delivered today. For anyone who bought these monitors from Dell at the old price and were invoiced in the last 30 days, call them and get your price match. They don't give you the 30 days grace period if the deal is at a 3rd party website, just if you bought from Dell.

I had my eyes on these monitors for a while. For my office use 4K is overkill and means I can't effectively use my laptop as an extra side screen since Windows is bad at handling font scaling as you move a window between monitors. As long as this software issue exists, the pixel pitch should be roughly the same for all monitors being used together.

Lots of idiots who assume PC is only for gaming or always come in to threads saying there much more expensive version is better. The only thing missing are the TN panel idiots/fanboys who tell you to buy cheap crappy monitors.

Only happens in Dell deal threads.

Wow I bought 2 of these at the previous front page price they are supposed to be delivered today. Anyone have experience with getting Dell to adjust their price or rejecting shipment? If I learn something useful I will post back.

Man, why doesn't all Dell monitors have the brackets for their sound bar? There is no bracket for the ac511 here.
Silly that they don't. I have the u2516d and it does have the bracket. Love it

I agree that 4K is still gimmicy for a PC but the U2717D is actually made with a Samsung LTM270DL11 PLS (IPS-type) panel.
