I bought some bead size lye from a thread on slickdeals, and I'll never buy liquid draino again. The difference is downright comical.

The instructions on the one I linked above suggest using 1/4 - 1/2 a bottle per use. I don't use nearly that, and it has cleared my drains better than any product I have ever bought. I'll never go back.

Snake seems flimsy and might break of in your pipe. Lots of bad reviews about that.

I highly recommend trying Instant Power Hair & Grease. I wasted a bottle of Drano (not this exact product) and some manual work with a small snake on a stubborn clog in my bathroom sink without any success. Half a bottle of Instant Power and letting it sit overnight per directions, cleared it up completely.

Was going to say this, the DT one works great, used the same one 3 times already. It's disgusting how much filth comes out.

Used a plunger last night on my sink after removing the stopper. Worked wonders without needing to buy any drano. Might want to try this first. I never considered it until yesterday. 🤷 ♂️

I second that. Also make sure to clear the counter before using the plunger. That thing will splash everywhere and don't want that gunk on your toothbrush.

It's pretty funny that the picture of the bottle states in big bold letters Non-Acid Formula. It's true, but lye has never been an acid, it is a strong base.
