Darn,
Thx but...i signed up for same 1 month ago.. 65k mi bonus with i think 6k $ spent in 6 month or something.

Can i call them and ask for this current deal?
you should be able to apply for this as well since it is a "new product". they just revamped the united cards they offer so technically the previous offer doesn't bar you from getting this new signup bonus in addition to the one you're already doing.

Got stuck at the screen when submitting the application. It has been "processing" for 40 minutes

I signed up for 40K miles for $2K spend 3 weeks ago; anyone successful with calling in to take advantage of a new/better offer shortly after being approved?

I had applied for the 65k for 10k spend offer and tried to change to this new 60k for 3k spend and they wouldn't change it when I called. I think it was because I called 40 days later.

I think if you applied within 30 days it's worth a shot to call.

Data point for others - I called and they offered me another 25K points if I hit $10K spend on card but could not give me the $3K/60K offer. Rep was nice; system would not let him do it.

I'll pass if it's a 25% interest rate...
Why would you pay interest on a credit card?

So you only get 2 lounge passes for the year ? Seems cheap of them.

No, it's an incentive to open a United Club card with them. It's a $95 fee card. They're not a charity.

I had this credit card for about 5 years. I got it with an offer like this. I can tell you by experience that even though all American carriers suck, United is one of the worse. For instance, Delta miles program and upgrades are far superior. I recently change credit cards to chase sapphire - definitely a good change. Good luck on your search!

If you are concerned about interest rates, you shouldn't have credit cards.

Also, if something happens and you miss a payment on a card, call them.

100% of the time that I've ever done it, the company will reverse any fees and interest charges. You just have to pay the bill in full (which you should be doing anyways on a high interest bearing credit line.

If u can't pay full balance every month.. the rule of thumb is to review your finace5 rather than chasing sign up bonus... U better off in long rub

One big bonus that is not mentioned about having this card vs a chase sapphire: when looking to book award travel, they open up all available seats on flights to booking awards. So I find when I do go to book award travel, I have 10x the number of flights to choose from vs without the card. I have been keeping the card, with the $95 annual fee, for this reason alone.

I know Chase added this to the 5/24 affected cards, but since United and Chase aren't on the best of terms now, any Data Points on whether they reversed this ruling?
