How does this work for a family? Can you get priority boarding and free bags for spouse/kids?
I believe 3-4 additional people with the SAME reservation can get both benefits - at least it used to be that way a few years back.

Got a home mailer, 75k miles after 3k spending. Haven't read the details but believe it's the same card. Will update tomorrow

You are probably right that is a different card. Which has better benefits, if both are for travel?

Club is better, but it has a $450 annual fee that is not waived for the first year

Unless you are a frequent, committed United flyer, I wouldn't get either card if the goal is travel 'benefits'. Certainly not the Club card, considering how mediocre United lounges are (the core hubs may be better, but United has opened distinct 'Polaris lounges' in those airports that the card does not give access to). At least the bonus may be worth getting the normal Explorer card for the 1st year.

The bonus code box is next to mileage plus number box on the online application at Unitedexplorercard.com/inflight
Code: UA3478
Any one know when the 2500 miles to post or how long it takes for the card to link to my United account? I was approved on the 4th and the card shows up on my chase account I don't see anything suggesting my MileagePlus account has been linked to my card yet...

I have used United miles to fly on business class in Lufthansa from Atlanta to Delhi several times. Easy redemption.
Yeah I remember it was a lot easier to fly star alliance before they devalued the miles. Flew a lot of first and business over the years especially with United partners. Since the earning has gone revenue based it just sucks.

This card doesn't have a good downgrade path... Will be stucked with United Bankcard if paying annual fee no longer makes sense

I have this card in my name and have my husband on it too. Does that disqualify him from getting this deal if he applies in his name?

It took about one month for the 2500 bonus miles to show up in my account. I was approved on 2/18 and just saw that the miles posted on 3/17.

Who applied for it and who is the authorized user? There's only one main cardholder. The other person must be an authorized user. The authorized user is eligible for the bonus even if they are/have been an authorized user.

Only you + 1 guest gets the free bag. So if it's just you and the wife you each get a bag. It's you and your 3 Mormon wives, only 2 of you still get a bag. However everyone gets Group 2 boarding. When flying BE only you get a full size carry-on.

Also I have this card and the CSR. My home port is ORD. The combo of both cards works pretty good for me. Figure I do 1 or 2 UA BE flights in a year, and the AF more than makes up for itself.
